help with squeeze page needed

Hi Guys
I'm trying to create my first squeeze page.I have never attempted anything like this before.I wondered if there were any warriors out there that might help me with tips or practical advice

    Hi Mel,

    If it's your first squeeze page, then the more basic the better.

    First you'll need an HTML editor..you can get a free WYSIWYG
    editor from Nvu Web Authoring Software

    Then you can start creating a HTML page anyway you like it.

    Just a few tips for maximum conversions....
    • Use a headline that outlines the benefits of your [free] offer...
    • Use some bullet points in the body to outline the benefits again
    • Have your opt-in form close to the top of the page..not all the way down the bottom
    • Use a simple graphic of your free gift (eg. ecover) - not always necessary but it helps
    • Use some copy on your submit button like "Send me my free report!" and not just plain old "Submit"
