Hey fellow marketers,

I'm testing to see if this forum can pick the winning headline. Click on the survey below and select the headline you think will convert the best.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5YTT7VT

Thanks for your participation. I'll post results in about a week after I get statistical significance.

    Don't waste your time.

Set up a test and let your market pick the winner.

(Though I don't think any of them are particularly good.)

Sorry, but I can't bring myself to vote for any of them.

They are all very ho-hum

Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with Glen. I've sold a lot of high priced stock market products and I'd reject all three headlines and ask you to come back with others.

True other headlines could work better, but the goal of my test is to see what you all think converts the best out of these three.

I'm testing these headlines on a squeeze page that's targeted to cold traffic. I'll let you know what converted the best and what got the most votes. Just vote on one please.

So far the control is converting at 37%. Which one will beat it?

I assume you mean a 37% optin rate!

I agree with others in this thread about the headlines. I couldn't bring my self to vote for any of them, Sorry!

Not sure how much time you spent on writing them, or choosing them. Sometimes it can pay, to write a number of 'heads' down, then choose the best, even if comes from a combination of a few of them.

Ha, they all resemble articles! I mean, who said you must have such long-ass subjects?

Without a LOT more information on where the traffic is coming from and who the market is it's just a lucky guess.

The cold traffic is from a banner ad on a popular investment research site. The market is short-term traders.

While the ad is up, I mainly want to see if we marketers can pick the winning one. I've been reading about crowd intelligence, that the crowd is suppose to be right, and want to test it.

I'm curious and will post results, but I need people's help to vote in order to get statistical significance. Thanks for your votes in advance.

One of those headlines does contain more of the 4 basic headline elements (big promise/self-interest, news, curiosity, quick and easy way) than the others. Adding the word "easy" to it would probably help.

It'll be interesting to see if that one wins in testing against the others in this particular group of headlines. IMO, none of them were particularly good, but that one was the best of the lot.

The first two aren't going to work in that niche.

The investing niche is full of burnt people. You need a solid credible hook if you hope to get anywhere.

Take the "Free eBook" out of the third. It just communicates low value. Replace it with "New Study" or, even better, a credible source where the study can be found. If you don't have a credible source, you need to go back to the research stage.

I'd say I like the first one but I didn't like it cause it wasn't specific enough; that it was talking about stock markets. I was confused and only figured it out after reading the others. Probably need to refer to a swipe file and right 20-30 headlines at least.

Make sure it has a good hook -but also is very specific and clear.

If you're looking at a big ad spend I think you're going to waste a lot of money. Not one of these are where they need to be.

So far the crowd is picking the right one. But there needs to be more people voting to reach that statistical significance. Please vote people if you're reading this post. Once we get a lot of people voting, then I can post results. Thanks.
