TJ Rohleder Give Away

If you're on this forum, I hope (assume) you know who TJ Rohleder is.

He's giving away ALL of his materials.

I've paid hundreds for them on Amazon.

He doesn't even ask for an optin.

There's everything here under the sun including a boat load of materials on copy.

No charge.

http://www.moreinc.net/giftsfromtj/50books.pdf

Enjoy.

Peace

Thanks for the heads up, Harlan. A lot of his stuff is make-money-fast junk, but some of it is pure gold. He has a product called, I think, Renegade Marketing (or something else starting with "R" on the first word), that is terrific. I'm going to go take a look because I remember vaguely that he had a followup program to that that I was never able to find. Marcia Yudkin

      Marcia - maybe Ruthless Marketing?

Thanks Harlan for the information. A quick Google check indicates some people don't think highly of him . But a quick glance at his books show information that looks to be useful.

And no, I didn't know who he was until I looked at the books and the google results.

I loved the title for one of his books... The Power of Hype. To some extent, it might better be named The Power of Enthusiasm as that seems to be the way he writes.

Fabulous resources - on how to be a scammer.
M.O.R.E. Inc. is a company based in Goessel, KS that promises large monthly incomes to people who purchase their systems that are used on the internet and through direct mail. They claim that people make $10,000 in their first week without knowing anything about how to make it work. Many of their programs are touted as being self generating and requiring little or no effort on the part of the "investor." They routinely claim that people can expect to make $20,000-$100,000 per month. Information obtained through the BBB , which rates them an F, and online search shows that the dominant complaint centers around a lack of return on investment and then a refusal to refund money when the programs don't work.
    - just one of many, many complaints on the net. This 91 year old (??!!) lost $25k to this piece-of-work. http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/MORE-I...t-least-691042

Is this really what you want to aspire to? Scamming old people?

Ruthless Marketing, yes, that is it. I have it in my closet in a three-ring binder. It has many, many great nuggets in it.

I don't deny that his company markets make-money-fast programs very aggressively and perpetrates some scams. Even so, TJ has some valuable insights that I have learned from.

Just looked through a few of the series. Solid stuff, albeit heavily borrowed material
          from his mentor Dan Kennedy.

I would say it is something that is beneficial for majority on this forum.

I too read some of the scam reports that set off the appropriate alarm bells. But what are the reasons you think the information in his material is not valid?

Aside from being excessively wordy and repetitious, the material presented seemed solid.

A good analogy is the use of guns as they have been used for a lot of illegal purposes. The problem there is how the person is using the gun, not the gun.

And that last statement could set off a whole new thread about the eithical use of copywriting .

Put it this way dude...if I told you what I think...and what I know about a LOT of the characters in this online marketing "business"...I would be permanently banned here. But if you Google a guy's name and get consistent reports of "funny business" - what does that tell you?

This isn't really a "forum"... "Rule #1" and all that.

        Merry Christmas.

The funny business tells me to be VERY careful about accepting his suggestions at face value without careful thought! But I won't disregard what appears to be good advice *only* because of who is giving it.

FWIW, I find opinionated and knowledgeable people are a lot more fun to be around. Sorry, but you fall into that category .

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!

It's kind of like taking advice on your music career from Micheal Jackson. Clearly he was a musical genius but it's pretty hard to overlook the creep factor (to put it mildly).

Those who judge the quality of a person's teachings by the feedback from people who won't take responsibility for their actions are missing the boat.

No one forced them to buy TJ's stuff.

The fact that they didn't do anything with it isn't his fault.

The dirty secret of Internet marketing is that about 90% of the people never do anything with the programs they buy.

And the ones that do generally make some money - regardless of the program.

The biggest problem in online marketing is the people who don't do anything.

To quote a friend of mine:

People say the world is divided into the Have's and Have Nots. The Truth is...It is divided into the Have's, Have Nots, and the Have Won'ts. The Have Won'ts are Have Not's that refuse to do what they need to do to become Have's. I call them moonbathers. They believe they can get a tan from the moon and nothing anyone can say can change their belief. I give them a pair of sunglasses, remind them to put on moonscreen, and wish them well.

  • ...From Volume 4, page 22 of The Black Book of Marketing Secrets -

"There is one rule you must never violate: when they want a refund, give them a refund!

No ifs, ands, or buts! It's not your money until and unless the sale sticks.

Stop playing games with your customers!"

Do you believe that rule to be good advice? If so I would say it is ANOTHER valuable piece of advice... no matter what the dude does in his life. It may not all be groundbreaking info, but almost all marketing advice is re-hashed, but with so much info out there it is good to get refreshers.

Seems some in this forum like drama a lil too much. So much negativity and bravado. Tear apart before building up. I am not a fan of this TJ guy, but I looked through some of these guides and the advice is SOLID... sorry if that pisses people off. The beloved Gary Halbert had some serious legal issues, does that discount his advice? I think not.

        Yes, it is outstanding advice.

It's not new. About 20 plus years ago at a Dan Kennedy seminar, DK said "everything HAS to be guaranteed. If they ask always give them their money back"

The advice dates back much, much longer.

When you think it through it just makes sense (saving endless problems - nobody needs unhappy customers).

It doesn't just dent a business it smashes it to smithereens with the bad PR and tales of horror on the interweb.

There's never any need for it to happen.

Just give the $29.97 (or whatever) back to the customer.

#5. immediately give a refund to anyone who wants one!
Stop screwing around with this. If you say you'll give refunds, do it and do it promptly. If you don't one day you may end up with a problem that can no longer be solved even if you do finally decide to make refunds. The problem I'm talking about, of course, is the one where you become a convicted felon.

I met TJ at a marketing seminar a couple moths ago. He did a great
presentation. Interestingly, he is implementing here what was discussed
at that same seminar. He is an interesting character. Mainly worked
in the DM offline market but trying to come online now.

I've been reading through several of TJ 's volumes and nodding my head at 90% of what he says.

Funny how I can share the same understanding of how marketing works and then execute that in quite a different style and attract quite a different set of fans.

It's because of who he's reaching out to.

You and TJ have completely different target markets.

If you were to compare demographics, you'd have to blink.
