'Bad' Sales Copy Examples... Has Anyone Got Any?

HI Guys,

This probably sounds really weird, but can anyone direct me to an examples of really 'bad' sales copy.

By 'bad' I don't mean anything to do with the structure, or flow of the copy or offer

I'm more looking for a sales pieces that's so boring and uninteresting, that they could easily put you to sleep...or would turn you right off the product/s altogether.

Cheers

Glen

      Greatest answer ever.

To take what Brian said a step further.... head into the WSO section if you don't feel like waiting for crits to come in here...

Any day I'm feeling down and a bit blue, I head in there for some pretty neat comedy writing... and soon after I find myself laughing and feeling better...

greatest answer? seriously? I'm a newbie at both copywriting and at this forum, but I have been noticing this vibe around here a lot...I find it pretty fascinating that people who seem to be the most proficient in showcasing value, building trust, bringing out geniune interest and positive emotions in people with their literary prowess, can be such, such...how do I put it, to match up to the high standard of bluntness around here...there it is...jerks, when the sales motive is out of the equation...I get the tough love approach, but it sometimes really makes me wonder what this line of work might do to my ability to behave like a normal human being

    Hi Glen,

I guess you are trying to find bad copy that you could improve. In other words you are looking for copy that is weak so that you give the owner a critique. That way you could get into business.

I know you do graphics work. All the same you could use this technique. The good part of this strategy is that there is little or no competition at all.

Now to answer your question, just prowl the net. You will find bad copy there. Use' Google Search.'

Ask them for permission to give a critique.

Give the owner a FREE critique.

If he/she likes it you could get into business.

Whatever the purpose of looking for 'bad copy' the answer is covered here. I have suggested to you where to search.
