Conversion rate question for VSL's

How do you get an accurate conversion rate for a VSL, especially if you're using a delayed add to cart button?

Do you calculate by total views vs sales?
Or people who actually click the add to cart button vs sales?

What's more accurate?

For example, I've got a VSL right now where I'm promoting something as an affiliate, and in my shareasale dashboard it says it's converting around 4-5%. But I use a delayed buy button, so I know that's only tracking people who actually click the add to cart button. I know from my wistia analytics that not everyone clicks the button obviously.

    Hey Sean,

Generally, it's total views/sales to figure out the conversion rate of a VSL.

If you're only picking up people who click the buy button, then it sounds like you're testing the conversion rate of your checkout page.

One thing you should definitely be testing is the time your buy button appears on the VSL.

    Hope that helps.
