Tools/Ideas for Creating a Slogan?

I just started a company called Green Door Garage. We have one goal in mind, and that is to insulate garage doors to give the homes they are attached to better temperatures and also to help the homeowner save money on air conditioning/heating.

For a slogan, I'd like to convey the following messages:
  • You save money by insulating
  • It helps you save energy
  • It is an environmentally sound thing to do

Is there any good slogan/marking/branding service out there that you folks can recommend? Or, if you have ideas for a slogan, I'd love to hear them below.

You can get some good ideas for slogans and taglines in Barry Callen's book, Perfects Phrases for Marketing and Sales Copy.

The target market is homeowners who have garage doors that are currently un-insulated. That's usually people 30+ years of age, middle income and above. The area where I'm debuting the service is overwhelmingly white. That's a snapshot. Just curious, how do you think I should tailor the slogan given the above information?

      Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

You're going to have more success creating your USP first. A business slogan is like a sales letter headline. Your first shot is almost never your final. You need a solid hook, a foundation, for the slogan to grow out of.

What's the one word your business will be best known for? What's the one thing you'll do better than anyone else? Find that, then build a positioning strategy around it. Answer those concerns and the slogan will come to you. But trying to do the slogan first is like trying to pump water out of a dry well.
