300% Sales Increase On Amazon Kindle, Just By Changing the Copy

First, I'd like to thank Marcia Yudkin for pointing this out.

I Made the ironic mistake of not taking my own advice on my kindle book description. I rewrote it last week, using a cool technique that talks directly to the subconscious. It made more sales in one week than I did all last month.

I explain how in this video.

You're not alone in making this mistake.

In my Kindle marketing course, I list close to a dozen common mistakes in Amazon book descriptions that come from not understanding the way the book description functions for shoppers.

Amazon is a far different marketing environment from selling something primarily on one's own website or through JVs.

Anyway, glad to know you made the needed changes and that you're getting better results now.

Seth, been doing this method but using bold instead of all caps. Do you think it makes a difference?

It does, so does highlighting or underlining. Anything that makes the word stand out. Depends mainly on what the media allows you to do.

You can do it from stage too, but it's trickier.

If you had the option in your copy, is there any info on whats easier for the eye to absorb (meaning more effective).... caps vs bold vs underline?

I've done quite a bit of split testing and bold seems to get better attention. I suspect its because we're conditioned to look for bold print. That's how host school books, even into college are laid out.

In fact, my brother and I both avoided reading college text books and still graduated with honors because of the "bold type theory." Maybe that's it, maybe it's not...but it makes sense.

Caps and yellow highlighting come in a close second (haven't had much success with other colors). Since you can't use pbold on Amazon descriptions, I went for caps.

I've used this in every kind of media, every niche and selling all kinds of products. Human beings are pattern seeking, so it's more about appealing to human nature than the media of delivery.
