How to properly brand a product list.

Hey guys, I've been looking around and couldn't find he answer I was looking for so I guess I'll just ask here.

What I'm looking to do is create a product reference, something I'm trying to emulate is kinda like the CASHCOW products on WSO.

You keep the same Main name and just change the subtitle If I main call it like that.

My question is; How would you go about finding the main product name
my products all related to email marketing and list building, I had a few thoughts but i'm just learning copywriting and I've come to realize that it's a lot about triggering emotions in your readers, which i'm not quite there yet.

I had brainstormed ideas like
List ninja
List building for dummies
List commando
The List boss

you know stuff like that, I was wondering which way would you go, as a copywriting point of view, as of branding a product.

Thanks for the help.
Regards, JeanMarc

Think about the value of your products to your customers -- what's important to them -- and spend a lot of time brainstorming.

I'm new to WF, and don't really get involved in the whole WSO thing, but from an "outsider's" perspective, the names that you listed seem a bit overly gimmicky. They don't really scream credibility.

I'd try coming up with one simple word that will instantly relate to your value proposition if you're looking at this as a long-term branding thing.

Basecamp, KISSmetrics and Hotmail are good examples.

    Hope that helped.

The word "list" isn't a brand. That's where you're getting stuck.

If you were the List Ninja and you had products after that, it'd be a different story.

I'm thinking along the lines of John Carlton here:
    - Kickass Copywriting Secrets of a Marketing Rebel
    - Marketing Rebel Insider's Club

John Carlton IS the Marketing Rebel. It's his persona, his book, his mastermind group, his club. Doesn't quite rub the same way if it's Kickass Copywriting Secrets of John Carlton. John Carlton's Insider's Club.

A brand is a little more ethereal and a little less concrete than you're probably thinking because it's also the persona/identity of your operation wrapped up in the name.
