Copy Writing w/o Graphic Design

Hello everyone,

I am currently a college student majoring in advertising and I've been strongly considering starting a career as a copywriter. I had a question to all of the experienced freelancers out there.

I'm sure that when you're working in an ad agency, you have graphic artists to work with you on your ads. But when you're freelancing, who takes care of all of the graphics?

Thanks for the help,

Handell D.

All you have to do is subcontract whatever you are missing.

Don't even bother, just tell people you only handle the writing aspect.

Hmm, do you think that this would decrease chances of finding business?

Not enough to make a difference imo, but possibly. The question is, is it worth the hassle? I've never been turned down by a client for not offering other services, personally. I'm sure it's a nice bonus, as Alex says, but not necessary imo.

            Okay, this definitely helps.

Thanks a lot for all the help, everyone!

Many freelance copywriters offer web design as a value-added service. You can use that as a selling point to differentiate yourself from those who don't.

That makes sense. Otherwise, I'm assuming freelance copywriters just subcontract that responsibility to others as JamesW3 suggested.
