Are you seeing higher conversions with your copy - using this?

One of my clients showed me an example of what some marketers are seeing increased success with...

Here's an example.

Here's another one.

Notice underneath the video how they tell you what you'll see in the video?

I don't remember specific conversion increases, but without changing the lead... or any of the copy for that matter, the numbers went up.

Thoughts?

    I haven't tested this myself but anything you see Russel doing
    must be a good reason he is doing it because he does a lot of
    testing so it's not a bad person to "rip off".

    From my own marketing intuition, I would think this would help
    because most people are intimidated by videos because they
    cannot "scan" ahead to see the content as they can in a sales letter
    so you are providing them than 'scan' at the bottom of the video.

      It's $10 for shipping but I would have honestly paid a grand for the wealth of information stored in it, including a section on "feature boxes" which are the "what's included in this video" or "what you will learn" boxes you're referring to.

      Specifically, it's about the tests that Mindvalley did on a number of their products. Vishen, the CEO of Mindvalley mentions how they got the idea from the feature boxes Sony uses on it's site. When Mindvalley adapted a feature box to just one of their sales letters, it increased conversion 63% (from 3.08% to 5.01%).

      Russell now uses them on most of his pages and claims they increase conversions on every sales page he's added them to so far as well.

      DEFINITELY something worth testing.

    I think having a little preview of what will be in the video would definitely help. Like Raydal said, you can't scan ahead in a video.

    Say I see something in the preview below the video that catches my eye... I'd be more than willing to watch the video so I don't miss the part I want to see. And, if it's a great sales video, it'll keep me sucked in to watch the rest all the way to the call-to-action.

    the book is great.

    to answer your question, it totally depends on niche etc.

    some people i know have tried it and it bombed for them.

    others, its done well.

    but russells book is pretty awesome.

    I'm not surprised that this is raising conversions.

    Personally, I'm happy to see this as a consumer. It's annoying to land on a page with only a video, no controls and no idea of what's coming and whether I'm about to waste 10 minutes of my life.

    Personally I'm delighted to be way behind the times.

    So much easier to get fast, tangible, profitable results with Postcards and Flyers.

    Than it is mess around endlessly with the interweb and all its malarky (with a zillion tests to see what does and doesn't work).
