Copywriter Wanted - Make Money Niche

Hey there fellow "copy-warriors".

I'll be honest - my copy sucks. From time to time I have a breakthrough and I write a descent email or article, but for the most part I sound like the tech-geek I am and I lose my audience...

I'm in the middle of working on an "attraction marketing/personal branding" step-by-step guide and I'm going to need a good copywriter for the sales page.

You should have experience in the make-money-from-home niche. Attraction marketing and network marketing writing experience would be nice too.

I will require previous samples of your work.

My budget is about $500 - negotiable to be more if your work is able to pull in sales like steel to magnet. (I'm spending some buck$ on the graphics too ;-)

I expect this course/ebook to be complete in the next 3-4 weeks so no rush... I just want to add a few names to my rolodex so when the time comes I can give you a heads up and a time frame on the completion date.

Any questions, post em or IM me.

All the best,

Adam Holland

    Hey Adam,

I can work with you on your budget, but we'll definitely need some sort of additional compensation. That really is a low rate. Aside from that, it sounds like fun. Please take a look at my past work (link in sig) and let me know if we can work something out.

You're going to have a difficult time getting magnetic, sales-pulling copy for $500. It's not a matter of copywriters being "greedy" and wanting more. It's just that to do it right--to actually get results--takes a significant amount of time.

For me, there is interviewing the client to get the story... interviewing customers or potential customers to find out what really resonates with them... studying the product in detail to uncover all of its benefits... studying the competition to determine the USP and how to position the product... outlining the structure of my sales argument and identifying the psychological triggers I'll be using... THEN, sitting down to write the piece... and finally, editing ruthlessly over a period of days (or weeks) to polish it into perfection.

I understand no one really cares how much time is spent on it--just the results the copy produces... but in order to get the results, it takes time.... which increases the cost... but also makes it much more likely you'll get a return on your investment.

That said... maybe you'll get lucky. If all you have is a few hundred bucks, than that's all you have. But I'd consider investing at least $2-$3K to get someone who is going to invest the necessary time to do it right. There are a few solid copywriters on this forum in that price range.

I agree with you, Joshua. That's why I need to get all the details before committing, run the research and determine how profitable it could possibly be. $500 really isn't much for the work we do as copywriters, but if the profit is there, a shared profit should be arranged as compensation.
