Tips to make your newspaper ad more profitable

2 replies
Hey Guys,

I recently bough Gary Halbert´s book ¨How to Make Maximum Money in Minimum Time.¨ In the book he gives tips on how to increase newspaper ad profits by 750%.

Here´s the tips;
Run a full page ad on either the front or back of the newspaper, so it´s more likely to get read.
Make your ad look like an article.
Pepper ad with subheadings, especially the lower half which will be under the fold.

What do you guys think? Ever tried these tactics? And were they successful?

    I don't know of anyone under 30 that reads the newspaper. Other than young stockbrokers and the WSJ. Those methods, still work, somewhat. But the audience is rapidly shrinking.

    ROP has gotten harder to find.

      Gordon, here's a list of papers who have readers in the 20 to 40 year
      old age group.

      Loosely categorized as alternative papers...still with good readership numbers.
