Just seen this and I thought it was a great idea really well done (not necessarily the YouTube, the physical ad).

What do you guys think?

    2 things...

    1. Can't people just watch their own friggin' kids? Or maybe play with them? Nope. They have to have their face buried in a magazine and let their kids run wild. Brutal. Maybe the kid wouldn't even be out of range until they were under 6 feet of water.

    2. I can't see this increasing sales of Nivea much. They can use the device in the magazine and then just apply whatever sunscreen they have in their bag.

Is it not more to do with branding and free product placement, however? Even if most people only use the bracelet, there will be kids running around working as free billboards for Nivea.

I guess that's what they were thinking of, was just wondering if anyone else saw it the same way.

PS: on your first comment, I completely agree, but then again, I'm pretty damn far from their target audience.

I am sure the ad agency will talk about branding too - it's how they don't have to be accountable for results.

Most here in this forum live and die by the 'results' sword.

I know, and it's what I've been telling to my main client, but there's a new product coming out shortly and I'll be doing a lot of "branding" work...hence watching things like this.
