A couple of resources to look for regarding writing advertorials are:

Clayton Makepeace - Easy Writers Club Webinar 3 Writing Kickbut Advertorials
Joseph G. Vitale - AMA Complete Guide To Small Business Advertising

Go to the Offline Marketing thread and look at "The display ad design guru's you NEED to study..." from Chris Rivers gave the names of three resources that are pretty good. Google them and you can find them free.

Not a lot out there. Bill Glazers Outrageous Advertising is close. PM me if you find anything good, I've been looking.

Here's an awesome advertorial I found when I was sipping my Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino at Starbucks...

When it comes to advertorials, Ben Suarez is undoubtedly king.

I recommend studying his ads, "7 Steps To Freedom", “Fountain of Youth Discovered By Little Known Civilization 2300 Years Ago”, "No Hunger Bread" and many more.

Not sure "advertorials" are too big these days. I'd look into Native Content. It's similar, but with an emphasis on delivering value to the reader -- not just a thinly-veiled sales pitch.
