All,

New in this game and want to invest in a Copywriting course to kick start my writing skills.

Does anyone have experience with good or bad courses?

Regards
Tom

One of, if not the most, potent skills a copywriter possesses is being able to RESEARCH effectively.

    Start here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/search.php

Type in "Best Copywriting Course" in the Keyword field.

Narrow the search to Threads instead of Posts.

Limit the search to the Copywriting Forum.

    Read.

And be sure to read the sticky at the top of this forum:

  • Most people generally recognize the AWAI 6 Figure Copywriting course as the best.

I haven't gone through it myself, so this isn't really a recommendation...

... I'm just telling you that most copywriters think it's the best.

A few things that will help you if you choose to implement them:

        1. Find out who the Greats of Copy are.
        2. Sign up for their newsletters
        3. Search for any of their products and STUDY their sales pages and newsletters.

I know you haven't asked for this but just a few books that you should start with:

        1. Scientific Advertising - Claude Hopkins
        2. Breakthrough Advertising - Eugene Schwartz
        3. How to Write A Good Ad - Victor Schwab

Be patient when entering this field. Have realistic expectations of what you want to achieve and keep yourself accountable.

        Recommendation:
focus less on "writing" skills and emphasize SALES skills.
