i just started using leadpages for optins and am digging it.

if you use it, do you like it?

can you show me some pages you've done and what kind of opt-in rates ur getting

what types of traffic does it do well with?

adam

p.s. I did this page in less than 30 minutes (including the copy and integrations). it's not a masterpiece but its getting a 19% optin rate from cold traffic

I like Leadpages but also find it restricting.

Curious... when you say cold traffic, where is that traffic coming from?

That offer would convert if written on toilet paper. I'm sure your target audience finds it irresistible.

Irresistible offers trump design and copy.

The great majority of offers aren't irresistible... nowhere near.

        Hello Alex,
You brought up a good point and wanted to hear your side of the design verse copy debate.

Personally I think that the people withing their 13-30's feel differently about this and believe that design is more important.

As for using leadpages, I use it as well and love and hate it. I find that it's difficult to change certain aspects, like colors of the background in some of the templates or the placement of certain things.

        Thanks
        Max

Been using LeadPages for a while now and I like it. Makes the whole site launch thing a lot easier, especially if you're driving opt-ins.

But I agree with a previous poster--sometimes it limits what I can do. There always seems to be one or two things I'd like to change about my sites, but they're not options inside their structure.

However, match the right offer with the right audience and you can do well. The squeeze page in my signature below gets me a solid 47% opt in rate. Nothing too fancy, but it works.

Leadpages is ok if you do all the work yourself and aren't willing to outsource, I guess.

I'm wondering what this sentence means: He had authored two book on tax reduction strategist.

Shouldn't it read: He has authored two books on tax reduction strategies.

Also, what's up with the comments at the bottom that have nothing to do with your offer?

The font in your headline is atrocious.

Other than that, yeah, way to advertise your thingy there.

I highly doubt my ideal client is trolling the WF copywriting sub forum looking for an offer like mine.

I highly doubt it too, especially when you can't even thank me for pointing out your lack of proper word structure.

If they're reading mistakes like you have in your offer and jumping at listening to a professional give them advice, I'm guessing you're not going after the brightest in the bunch.

  • it's very restrictive, you have to obey what they tell you. I think you are better off with a more flexible platform. If you want quick and you are new and don't care about having more flexibility it's OK!

I swear by Leadpages and don't find it restrictive at all.

Personally, I think the lead boxes features is worth the membership alone!

I was just talking about this with a client last night, they loved it, though I've never used it personally.

I really like Unbounce, personally. I mastered their design tools in less than an hour, and it's NOT restrictive AT ALL, you can do literally ANYTHING with it (or use a template to save some time). I recommend Unbounce to all my clients who're looking for a landing page design/split-testing program... Though I've heard Optimizely is good too. I know they integrate well with CrazyEgg/ClickTale, as well as Google Analytics, some others.

You have a typo in your title tag. You have taxes spelled "taxs".

Personally, unless you are creating 100's of sights I don't the big appeal.
A nice simple sight, but there are many technologies that can do the same thing.
I guess it really depends on your preference.
