Yeah actually I have registered with them as well and found out that they are not true wholesalers. Their "wholesale" prices are higher than retail prices in most marketplaces. The weird thing is that I have found "reviews" all over the internet saying that their prices are very good....hmmm sounds scam to me..

I have been dropshipping through Albany Distributing for 3 months. Started with them in mid July but I'm not having any of the problems you are describing with prices and shipping fees. Majority of their products are priced lower than what Amazon is selling them for. When I first started with them my prices were way out of whack. I called them and they had me fax in multi-state jurisdiction form with my Georgia sales tax number on it. And then 24 hours after that when I logged back into my account I noticed there was a massive reduction in my prices. Since you mentioned you're just getting into dropshipping, I have a feeling this is what's happening with you. Call them and ask!

As the other person mentioned, Albany isn't the only one to choose from, there are many.. You can also check out techdata.com. They charge a $100 setup fee. I paid it and was very impressed with the prices but found out that techdata doesn't give out a datafeed for free which was disappointing. Since you're new, Albany would be a good fit once they get the prices correct for you.

Seriously, if you want to make money dropshipping, stop looking for the easy way. There is not a single "wholesale dropship" directory out there that can compete with people who are doing it the right way - getting things dropshipped directly from the actual manufacturers or their authorized distributors.

It all starts with a phone call - something few people these days seem to have the guts to do. You need to find out if the manufacturer will dropship and if not, if they can provide you with contact information for their big buyers, preferably distributors. Then you call those people.
