Hi
I just want to share my experiences I've had with Shopify.
I recently opened a store with Shopify, everything was going great and then I rec'd a message stating I need to verify my website by sending one of a number of documents. One of those was a driving licence, so i sent it off. A few days later I rec'd another message stating the document sent was not acceptable because it did not show my business name, which is my website address,.
So I contacted Shopify support to ask what was going on, the guy I spoke to said he didn,t know why it was not accepted but he had sorted it out and everything should be okay.
About 15 minutes later I receive another message from Shopify stating my website had been suspended.
So I get back on to Shopify support. This guy was saying he doesn,t know what has happened, so I said I may as well cancel my store because a store which no one can see is no use at all !! This guy was then directing me to the area showing me how to cancel the store instead of sorting the problem. What great customer support is that. !!! Cancel the store then the problem goes away.
In conclusion I receive an email a few hours later from this guy stating that he doesn,t know what has happened and the refund of fees I requested was refused because as far as they are concerned its not their problem.
What a Micky Mouse company is this !! I've never received such bad customer support ever in any type of business.

In conclusion I get the impression that this company has not got the necessary staff to be a major player and from my experience it is clear that they do not know what is going on. Straight forward problems are probably okay but something different and then they are struggling.
Also it seems they are reluctant to give refunds even when its their fault.

So if you are thinking of opening a store with Shopify, I would think again.
