So I called Amazon and they told me that its generally not allowed to have 2 sellers account, unless you request permission to do so from them

However, if you have one account on (lets say) amazon.com and the other on amazon.jp, then that is perfectly fine as they are different markets

So is it advisable to create a separate seller account from your traditional/standard Amazon customer account? I am guessing so....

You can't operate on Amazon with more than one account, unless you get written permission from Amazon.

The two accounts need to have different bank accounts, different company name, different email addresses, different locations and different products.

In short, there needs to be an administrative reason for needing a second account and it had better be a good one.

The first account needs to be in good standing, which means good customer service, low rate of returns and timely shipping. Without it, you can't move onto a second account.
