Anyone good with opencart with some free time?

I am not new to webmastering, building webpages, and even scripting, however I am definately new to this genre.
I have successfully installed opencart, got my logo set up, my categories, and a few products, and also changed my currency.
The platform seems pretty straightforward so far but I could use some guidance if anyone that is familiar with opencart has some free time.
It would be greatly appreciated.
