Setting up fulfillment in US as a foreigner

Hey guys,

I run an ecommerce store where I currently ship to US customers directly from India.

I'm looking to tie up with a fulfillment service in the US to reduce shipping costs, outsource the hassles of logistics and so that my customers no longer have to pay import duties. This needs to run as if my customers are buying products directly from the US and hence need not pay import duties. This is paramount.

I have a few questions regarding how I would approach this. Hoping an experienced warrior who may have knowledge about this or is currently doing this help me out.

1. Do I need to register a company or LLC in the US? Or set up a registered division of my current company?

2. Would I need to travel to the States in order to coordinate all this?

3. Apart from the cost of transportation of goods and storage & shipping charged by the fulfillment service, what other significant costs am I looking at?

4. Would this require opening a bank account in the US? Filing taxes? Hiring an accountant?

Thanks for any help in advance!
