Managing Comments in Wordpress

Hi warriors,
I was getting lots of comments from my articles, most of which were spam. I decided to turn off comments completely. However, I still need comments to engage my readers and improve my links. Which is the best way to manage comments well?

    If you are using WordPress install plugins like Akismet and Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin they will automatically delete most of the spam comments.

    Another option would be to install Facebook or Google+ comments.
