Hey guys, can I ask how do you research the market? What I do is I go to lets say Alibaba, then go through all the sub-niches (I know, there are thousands of them), and finally I type then one by one on the completed listings section on Ebay to see what potential it has.

Is it the right way to do it? I know some people even break sub niches into smaller parts, meaning that they research particular products of that niche.

Can I ask how do you do that? Thanks.

Sounds like a plan. I recommend just selling anything you can flip for a buck at first. Their are no secret products. What sales is virtually the same everywhere : women's products like makeup, clothes and brand name bras, sporting goods, nutritional supplements, etc. What matters is that you beat your competitors by pricing lower because you can source the products cheaper. Think outside the box and don't go spend money finding a source. Exercise your imagination and industrial spirit instead. Once you learn how to sale and compete, then if you want to find a niche like power adaptor cords, then have at it. Diversify over several. Buy the adaptors for 50 cents each on craigslist then sale for 5 dollars a pop on ebay. Good luck.
