Using WordPress Woothemese or OpenCart?

Looking to redo a small store that is currently html and 1shoppingcart. No more than 50 products. Considering using WordPress with 1shoppingcart or Cart66. Or using OpenCart.

Are the WordPress themes from Woothemes fully functional without using woocommerce? This is my preference but not if they are designed to only use woocommerce.

OpenCart looks like a good solution for my needs. Is it fairly easy to set-up and use or will it require alot of programming support?

I use OC as I think it is the easiest by far to use, lots of support and free and paid templates that you can modify as your own.

You can check out my stores using 2 different OC templates

Thank you. Your sites are similar to what we plan to do so helpful to see.

They are fully functional even without using WooCommerce. The only thing is they are not as full as many of the little frills as some of the other themes that are out there when not used with the plugin. We use it on sites that are larger than that and have no issues with it. Either would be a great option for what you are doing.

Thanks, from what I can find OpenCart seems like a great choice for our situation. Knowing this helps.

Count another vote for opencart - definitely more flexible than woocommerce and more secure. I only recommend woocommerce if you have one or very few products. IMO it gets ugly with 100s.

Thanks. We only like some of the woothemes but have not interest in getting started with woocommerce. Knowing OpenCart is more flexible and secure pretty much closes the deal.
