Do i need or must register a trademark for my products selling at online store in USA(the products are sent from Hongkong when sold)

    I wouldn't go to the effort or expense unless...

    1) You are creating your own brand name of products and don't want to be kocked off.

    OR

    2) You create a retail store that becomes a HUGE success and you want to protect yourself.

    It rarely makes sense to go to the time or expense early on.

      You can claim trademark ownership in exactly the same way you can claim copyright without registration.

      All you have to do is use the ™ symbol on all of your products and advertising.

      Remember though, it is illegal to use the ® symbol unless you have registered the trademark.

      An unregistered claim is legally enforceable, but even registered marks can be subject to pirating, and the cost to small business owners who might try to defend their rights by litigation is usually prohibitive.
