Amazon: Evaluate Bulk UPCs

I'm looking for a solution to process 100's or 1000's of UPCs from wholesalers for Amazon Sales Rank, FBA margin, high price, etc. The alternative of searching one UPC at a time on Amazon and manually plugging in to a spreadsheet one by one is not sustainable and horribly inefficient.

I've searched the web and have surprisingly found very few solutions and those that exist cost $50/mo.+. What are you Amazon sellers using/doing in these situations? Is there a free solution? If not, what's the best value?

Thanks

$50 mo is not unreasonable for what you want to do, especially if you're not using it continuously.
Armed with that info, you should be able to recoup that investment.

The only other thing that comes to mind is a visit to odesk and get the software built.
    Cheers

I'm shocked that this post is not getting more reply's and that this is relatively uncovered on the web. I would imagine this is a huge problem for anyone who engages in Amazon sourcing??

UPCs are not the end all at Amazon. Not everything there needs a upc.
As a matter of fact most vendors especially small business don't have or are required to have a UPC code.
Searching for UPCs you may get the big players but you're going to leave out a lot of vendors.

On the other hand, every item has an ASIN number even if they have UPC, SKUs, Item or ISBN numbers.
I would think any searches compiled would have more accurate results using the ASIN

So we can list on amazon without a upc or ean number? Or we have to purchase a upc number.

Without digging through their regs, there are a ton on items that you can list without either.
In some items that require a SKU, if you don't have one, they'll generate one for you.

Unfortunately Amazon policies are not the same across the board for all categories.
          That would be too easy!
You would need to do some research for what fits your items.

Sorry, I'm totally unfamiliar with those products.
If you have a seller account, from your seller page click on the help option and go to the forum and you can do a search there for sellers in the same spot as you.
Ask a question there as well if you can't come up with anything. You're bound to get some answers and Amazon monitors the questions also.

I think my original question may have been misunderstood. Let me provide a scenario:

      1) I reach out to a manufacturer and receive a line item list of all their products, these usually include Item#, UPC/EAN, wholesale cost, weight, etc.
      2) In order to see which products are profitable on Amazon, I have to search each product, one by one, in order to see its sale price, number of sellers, sales rank, etc, I can search by item# but usually UPC is the best search method.

There may be hundreds or thousands of UPCs from any given manufacturer. What I'm looking for is a way to evaluate these products in MASS, using the UPC's from the manufacturer's product list.

You may want to look at ScanPower Evaluate
Don't know if it will do exactly what you want but they may have other options you can use.
But again, you're into that monthly subscription.

You can check into Profit Bandit also and see what they have to offer.

For bulk UPC searches there are several options.

I've had good luck with a few, and although most of which return similar information there are some subtle differences.

I listed a few below (no affiliate links, but feel free to just type the names into a search engine):

      Price Checker Software App

eComSpy - FBA Inventory Market Analysis Tool

      https://scope.sellerlabs.com/

        Update:

I've been using Sellerscope and while the intended functionality is exactly what I was looking for, I found that results generated are not accurate. Often times seller rank for items will generate as "0" when in fact there is a seller rank and their calculation of FBA fees does not jibe with FBA Revenue calculator. My search continues.

Honestly, no. I've wasted a lot of $ on programs and they are all either 1) missing critical data in their results file (forcing you to manually check, defeating the purpose) or 2) things simply don't work or are not consistent and cant be trusted.

I got so irritated with this that I hired a high quality developer and have been developing a program that produces a full result list and is accurate, every-time. It's bee a long and very expensive journey but we're 95% finished and have a VERY nice product as a result. After all this work and money, I'm considering making it available online and undercutting all of these ridiculous software providers that charge you $40+/mo for crap.

Amasuite is the best tool for this. Otherwise, a coder can do the same thing using AZ's REST interface
