Hello. Starting a dropship store with Woocommerce and Chinabuye/FastTech
I've recently quit my job and moved to Europe from Australia to live with my girlfriend. I'm waiting on a residency visa and in the meantime I've been developing an e-cigarette store called eDurry Australia (a 'durry' is slang for cigarette in Australia).
I got a dropship account with Chinabuye but had my reservations about a few things, especially their shipping options and their seeming reluctance to get back to me.
I didn't want to have too many products on the page - just a series of starter kits with available replacement parts and some cheap deals. I'm making a buyers guide and how-to guides and a blog to go with it and I've created Twitter and Facebook accounts to hopefully get some followers and keep them engaged with funny pics etc.
I'm almost ready to take the coming soon page off but yesterday I was adding some ejuice products manually when all of a sudden ALL of the ejuice products at Chinabuye and their other site e5cigs disappeared from their sites. It got me pretty freaked out so now I'm looking at creating an account with FastTech because they seem more reliable and have way better shipping options.
I've put a tonne of work into building the store - or rather, it has taken me a while to build it and now it's looking like I'm going to have to start again with loading the products on.
Of course, this will only be one store but I have another half-built store almost ready to go - I basically made a duplicate and changed the logo and products on it.
I wanted to ask if it's all going to be worth it? I'm getting desperate for this to work because I'm going to start running out of cash soon and I don't want my girlfriend to be stressed out about money.
I really need something to tie me over while I work on getting some freelance web design projects. I've been developing Wordpress sites for a while now and I'm keen to keep developing my skills and work on some more fun personal web projects.
I also wanted to ask what I should be focusing on with the marketing? I've developed a bit of SEO but should I be thinking about Adwords, Pinterest or other marketing methods?
I'm still pretty new to some of that stuff.
Anyway, I hope to update you soon with some good news that might help encourage some of the other newbs on here.
Cheers,
Earn
