That's exactly what I am asking. What do you have in special? What products do you produce or can you source from your local market that are good for the Chinese market?

Are organic products related to health care or homeopathic medicines something you have experience in?

What kind of market exists for Australian medicinal oils, herbal remedies or traditional medicines?

Is the market best served by "retail ready" - for example small quantities ready for sale to consumers or...

Is it best to provide product as a wholesale quantity for local re-packaging?

        As a side note...

Are Chinese consumers interested in "Western Information Products" ??

Thanks Vincent for your contributions in this forum.

I don't have experience in that before. But we do have many health care pills/foods from abroad here, selling at high prices. The major marketing methods for these products are online ads, websites, social media marketing and word spreading method.

I'm not sure if the "medicines" here equals the medicine which shall be registered with the government (FDA in the US for example, not sure its counterpart in Australia) and shall be under years of experimentation before releasing to the public. Importing a medicine from abroad is difficult as the medicine shall be under experimentation for years here again to get the grants of importation, and this should be carried out by special companies. I assume that the "medicines" mentioned by you are in fact foods which will be much easier to import.

Whatever it is, selling it directly to consumers in China in small quantity for personal use is fine. So you can sell it on your website with a Chinese version with appropriate marketing - if you need, I can help on a charging bases.

Chinese people like medicinal oils from abroad, but for herbal remedies, China has long history of that.

Yes, that would be best. And well packing and advertised are also important.

That will be formal importation to be carried out by a Chinese company or your Chinese subsidiary. Too much trouble, do it after you've got certain sales to China on your online store and seen a high potential. As an attorney at law, I have helped many foreign countries to establish their entities in China.

Most Chinese consumers have more interest in "Western Information Products" which has been translated into Chinese. Chinese people who is willing to read English material consists of a small portion comparing to China's popularity. You can sell serious academic data base to Chinese Universities and researching institutions etc..

Chinese consumers are eager to buy from abroad. High end consumer goods, consumer digital products, products particularly from a certain country (wines, coffee etc.) are extremely welcome.

China produces, but seldom designs. So anything with good designs or high tech will probably good sellers in China.

I can help if any one would like to explore the Chinese market, which is a really big market with high potentials.

We can export to China things that does not exist there. If you succeed, you will become a millionaire because the potential market is big, almost 1.5 Billion population.

But the risk is, if they manage to reverse engineer your product, they will produce the product themselves and sell much cheaper than your price.

Keep your product changing/upgrading fast to avoid the bad influence of reverse engineering. Take them as catfishes among Sardines

Branded luxuries, cosmetics, bags etc., mon and baby supplies such as milk powders, toys etc, organic foods are in high demand among Chinese consumers.

And China imports many bulk commodities If you are dealing with that.

More and more Chinese are getting rich, the middle class of China is growing. Many of them are looking for things with high quality; food safety is a hot topic here and many Chinese would rather eat imported foods.

      High potential here.
