I am looking for Vaporizer starting kits, Advanced Vapor Mod Kits, E-Liquid, vaporizer accessories drop shippers or wholesale? I thought I found a few of them on AliExpress but items are really marked up. Any help would be appreciated.

Identify the brand you want to carry and contact the manufacturers of those brands directly (preferably by phone). If they will not dropship or sell is "light bulk" to you, ask them for the contact details of the biggest distributors that buy in bulk from them and contact each of them directly. This is ALWAYS the best approach to start with when you're trying to source specific brands within your chosen niche. I hope this helps!

      Kleean,
There are tons of sites that will send you to various dropshippers. I've used DOBA (mentioned before, I think), but my favorite is the directory from Worldwide Brands - the Dropship Source Directory, or something like that. It was the one I used about 8 years ago when we started out, and it was the best $ I ever spent.

        fmckinnon,

I checked out Dova a couple of times, read a lot of bad reviews. Worldwide brands actually has really good dropshippers in the country. So happy i have a membership with them and I'm able to do some research. Thanks

Local manufacturers are likely to ignore you, but those in China and other countries overseas will welcome you with open arms.

I have taught hundreds of people how to safely source direct from genuine manufacturers, get best prices, and import the easy way.

Don't forget, wholesalers buy from manufacturers, add their margin and you pay the bigger price. So - why not buy direct?

          Importesport,

You are correct on overseas manufacturers they will welcome anyone with open arms but you run with the problems of not getting authentic items and over priced shipping to US. I really had my doubts about WWB. I been a member for 3 years and i feel i got my moneys worth. Just really trying to see what are my options are and to see if i can find something local. Alibaba and DHgate are great but i just have trust issues.

In your OP you mentioned looking for these products on Aliexpress, and now you say Alibaba and DHGate are great.

Using those sites and others like them can be risky. One big problem is that huge numbers of traders are listed, but they pretend to be manufacturers. If they lie about the type of business they are, do you think you should trust them?

By "authentic" items do you mean big brands? If so, you should not even try. Importing big brands will only lead to trouble.

As for overpriced shipping to the US, that is usually not a problem if you are buying more than just a single sample. On single samples the shipping cost will be astronomical, but on commercial orders it is OK.

When I ran my importing business that I franchised out in 4 countries, most shipments were only small value, some as low as $100, but a lot around $500, and all came by either EMS or Air Couriers.

That high freight cost was no problem because I and my franchisees bought at prices that not only covered that cost, but still left a huge profit margin.

I was referring how great the prices are with alibaba and dhgate. I used them ones wasn't impressed. If i had the capital to get commercial order i would jump on it fast. I'm starting out so i have to go with small quantities and try to race capital fast.

I always tell my book readers to ignore the big MOQs quoted by suppliers because if you use the right approach you can get them to supply small orders.

As a result you don't need a lot of capital to import from China. It s worth noting that the traders who make up the biggest number of suppliers on DHGate and Alibaba are usually inflexible on MOQs and that is because they want to make a big profit on your first order because they know you probably won't order again.

Genuine manufacturers are much more likely to agree to reducing the minimum order quantity.

I have had a number of my book buyers start off with as little as $300.

@ImpEx: While I am not doubting that what you are saying about Chinese manufacturers agreeing to sending out smaller orders at low per unit costs in general, that does not apply to the e-cig/vape manufacturers - at least not the ones with brands worth selling. They won't even answer your RFQ if your request does not add up to X,XXX units. Been there, tried that, know all about it. But the few e-cig manufacturers that did reply, their wholesale price quotes were higher than US-based distributors. Then when you add on shipping and duty, there would be no reason to hassle yourself buying from them since you can get better prices for low or no MOQ from US distributors.

There is only one reason why you would buy direct from an e-cig manufacturer. That is because they will not honor any warranty they have if your customer approaches them and you, as a reseller, did not buy factory direct. They hide behind "oh, you probably bought a fake". It's all BS, though since you can prove the distributor that supplies you buys directly from them. But this is neither here nor there because they try to get out of honoring warranties no matter what. They are getting better as competition increases, but they try to shove it off on the retailer as much as possible and then they never reimburse the retailer (or wholesaler, whom ever their direct customer is) even though they say they will. It's getting harder and harder for retailers to absorb the cost of returns, though, as retail price start to fall (but wholesale prices remain unchanged or higher).

As a general rule, warranties for products bought from China are almost non-existent. This is one of the biggest risks facing importers. Overcoming that problem hinges upon developing a good relationship with the manufacturer.

You talk about "brands worth selling", but the industry is still evolving, and you will find that the majority of "brands" are produced by the same few companies in China.

Finding those companies without knowing how to safely source in China will be very difficult. If you use Alibaba it will be virtually impossible.

Most dropshippers listed in supplier directories like that are middle men that are buying direct from the manufacturer (or one of the manufacturer's authorized distributors) and marking it up before they dropship it. Going to the "root" source is always the place to start if you are trying to source known brands within a niche!

Dave agreed, somewhat -- in my experience, TONS of those in the directories are dropshippers of dropshippers ... but many are small distributors, etc. In some cases, it helps to buy through distribution and many manufacturers won't deal with you directly, as they want to promote their disty partners.

On the other hand, it's nice to get to a point where the manufacturer's contact you directly asking you to sell.

Yes, there are definitely legit wholesalers mixed in there, but you would also find those distributors by starting with the manufacturer as well. Plus, starting at the "root" ensures you are reaching out to only legit potential sources.

Believe me, I'm not anti-directory. I am part owner of Dropship Blueprint, which is precisely that. I'm just saying from experience that it's usually best to start with the manufacturers. To me the biggest value in wholesale directories is using them as a niche brainstorming tool. I love pulling product ideas from a supplier directory and slapping them into my competitive analysis tool!

I gotta agree with this. I found some distributors that were never listed in any directory because I went to the manufacturer first. One of the best ones I found, it took 4 emails to the manufacturer over a year and on the fourth one, they passed it on to a distributor who called me direct. Never heard from the manufacturer but I found what I wanted, a distributor which not only carried the manufacturers products but others I never heard of.

But if you are dropshipping then you shouldn't have to worry about shipping prices. Just get the orders , take your cut and pass them on to the firm and their order will be shipped.

Unless I'm mistaken about how dropshipping works. But from my understanding. You don't touch nothing. You just facilitate sales while getting your cut first.

I just don't know how a refund will work if the customer paid you through PayPal but you paid the firm another method?
