Are There Any Niches Left?

I've went hard the past few days on Googles Keyword's Tool and whilst I love e-commerce (and am going to keep going hard to build my own dropshipping site) it seems that new drop shippers like myself are late to the party and, short of trying to catch on trendy waves before they've fully broken, are there still many niches (in the $100+ bracket) out there with enough footfall to be exploited?

I guess aside from finding a niche in the product should I go down the route of trying to serve one individual country for a product already being exploited or some other non-product niche?

PS. I guess eBay arb is incredibly difficult for high value products with the final value fee? (e.g. on an iPhone 6 you're talking like $70 out-of-pocket straight away? reduces your margin by like 9/10ths or something...)

Millions of niches out there, do some research and take action.

"Is there any niches left?" is like going to McDonald's and saying "Is there any Big Mac's left?

    LOL

    Thanks for the responses, guys.

I'm beginning to realise the issue for me isn't finding a niche, its making sure that the margins are big enough for PPC - for example:

$1 CPC* x 25 (aiming for 4% conversion rate) = $25 margin per sale to break even, which is doable if I find a dropshipping niche, but which knocks the wind out of most decent affiliate programs...

*Minimum I've found to 'win' enough impressions for at least a few clicks/day on stables of decent quality, low-competition keywords with a total of 1-3k searches/month

I have to say it is addictive looking for good, low competition keywords, like a modern-day goldrush

thats the problem with this whole internet thing.

every niche is overdone and completely saturated.. everyone's grandmother's dog has something they think is an "online business" now. Only thing you can do is use something unique to stand out imo

There is nothing original any longer, its all about what makes your "whatevertheheckitis" better than the next person's.

Every business will always have new angles, new opportunities etc. These opportunities are often easier to see once you've been playing the game for a while. It's not usually even desirable to be first to the scene. Use what others are using and find ways to improve what they've done. Good luck.

Well, there are so many niches available, so just move towards and think about your vision, what kind of product you are planning to sell. As we know that the world is partially relying upon internet marketing nowadays. So, just make a clear vision and go ahead.

I think what you need to do is test things out.
Some people make soooo much money from the "make money online" niche, others can barely earn $1 a day from it... What I mean to say is, there are countless niches to choose from, but whether or not you'll make money from them, it depends on you!

There is going to be a new stolen Apple SmartWatches niche poppin up I am pretty sure. If they can buy one they will buy another.

Also if you put the word celebrity in front of anything expensive you may just be on to something.

Find out what celebrity owns what luxurious item and sell the same or little less expensive look alike to your prospects.

Expanding Your Mind... Not Tell You What Niche To Do

    1. The most important message in this post is not to give you answers... but to expand your mind to the infinite investment and products possibilities that are available today. It's like taking a cup of water and expanding it into an ocean. Keep and mind I drop-ship as well, but that is just the tip of the iceberg if you have the right e-commerce business model.

Many people ask me, "I have so money, what niche should I invest it in?' My first response is, "It really doesn't matter, there are tons of product categories sitting in Chinese warehouses ready to be sold, just pick one that you like. "My reason for saying this is because if you don't get started, there are many people who will. And what they learn through their mistakes is how to make money in any niche.

My second response is "Get financially educated." the reason I say this is because, once you choose one, you will be better able to tell for yourself a good niche from a bad ones, and good drop-shipping business model from a terrible one.

Most fellow entrepreneurs love to tell what niche you should sell in. They will tell you exactly what to do and what strategy you should take. And, generally, they offer a biased opinion because they only recommend what they think is good to sell.

Invest Time Doing Research and Marketing Before You Invest Your Money

This is not to say getting started selling to make money is bad... because there are plenty of products to sell. The philosophy I take is that there are two critical steps you need to do first. Research and marketing. I recommend you do your research to find a niche and develop a marketing plan for it before you invest your money.
