Hello

My name is Nwogu Chibuikem and I am a mini importer in Nigeria.

I see a lot of people post everywhere online how you can buy android phones, laptops etc at cheap prices. Fine; that's true. Of course, they may be making some bucks off it, but seriously these guys are leaving a lot of money on the table.

Here, I'll be listing about 10 products that are evergreen, and will forever be in hot demand.

The first 5 of them are inexpensive products you can start importing even with less than $50. These products are not only in hot demand; also importing them will not leave a big hole in your pocket.

The rest of the products in the list might somewhat require a bigger capital to start, but are also hot in demand and can make you real money real fast if you play your game well.

However, if you're just starting out and have limited capital, I advice you start with the first 5 products, and advance later.

The Inexpensive Product;

1. Phone accessories -

Phone covers
Solar chargers are hot!
Phone screen protectors
Phone batteries
Memory cards

2. Computer accessories -

Multi USB Cables
Mouse
Webcams

3. Jewelries - Dealing on Jewelries alone can make your account officer
quietly invite you to teach him/her your secret. Teach him but charge him
heavily!

4. Watches - I shouldn't have included this. This product alone has made me more money in 3 months than the annual salaries of most bankers.

5. Other Inexpensive Importable Products - I‟ll be grouping every other inexpensive products you can import to make quick cash here.

Ladies Brazilian Hair
Body electronic massager - Gym houses go gaga for this one. All you need do is to get some samples, then contact gym operators and have them introduce their customers for a commission.

The Slightly Expensive Products;

1. Women's beauty products - Like Bags, Shoes, Hair, Jewelries etc

2. Blackberry Phones

3. Android phones - Android phones sell very well too.

4. Home Accessories - Like washing machine etc.

5. Wears/Clothings

If you can find a product that is overseas and bring it to a hungry market in your country, then you have struck gold!

Find what is NOT in your country but is a popular product, FEED the market!

Nice post! I was just wondering though, say if you were to buy watches from China, what sort of brand do you look to buy, or do you get custom ones made? Thanks.

It's a good thing to do like Researching, Go to your maket, and check online at your countries and see what is selling good, what is the trend, what people need. and of course you are interested in and have passion about.
Then find Chinese supplier or do the things.

For me, what i do is check a sellers feedback first and how many orders, then make one purchase, and if it ok i keep that seller information so i can go to anytime i want that particular product.

Note that, their products might not be as good as gucci but are still very good, I have gotten a wrist watch that has lasted 3 years now. In life you just have to take calculated risks

Counterfeits, knockoffs, and big brand items that appear to be genuine can be very tempting, but importing and selling them can be very risky.

Thanks for the list, but how do I find wholesalers that I can trust? Do you just Google those products or what?

I use some import portals like aliexpress.com

      Before you ever try to order from any of these websites, you'll want to make sure you bear the following in mind;

      - Compare prices and quality.

      - Verify the seller so as to ascertain their past experience with their previous customers.

      - Send a dummy message to the seller. I use this strategy to test the seller's customer service efficiency.

You may want to send messages like "Are your products fake?",

"Are you sure you're going to send them if I order?"

Funny messages right? But they work magically!

The reason for this message is to simply work into the sellers psyche and test how fast they respond. The truth is, if someone takes time to respond to such attention grabbing messages when money hasn't changed hands, that may invariably mean that the same person may NEVER respond to some of your messages after you order. Hard truth!

It may not always work, but it has worked for me in 85% cases.

Sellers that respond to such messages jovially, and try to explain things to you, turn out to be customer friendly. Once a seller responds, invite them to chat outside the import portal, like Skype and Gtalk.

      - Always make every payment through the recommended import website, usually credit/debit card, ATM, Western Union/Moneygram etc with their escrow payment option.

I've had one or two instances where sellers requested that I pay them directly, maybe to their PayPal account directly, or via western union and promises to reduce the price of the product I wish to order for me. I understand that the import portals get a commission from every order made through their site, but paying the seller through any other means apart from the escrow option in the portal, puts you at risk. Avoid it!

If the transaction eventually turns sour, you might not be able to get back your cash. You'll understand better later!

Aliexpress is one of the risky sites that warriors should avoid. People will tell you that they have made some great deals on Aliexpress, but hundreds will tell you that they have been ripped off.

For some reviews see Ripoff Report | aliexpress Search of Complaints & Reviews and https://au.trustpilot.com/review/www.aliexpress.com where there are over 1,000 complaints. There are other sites where you can read hundreds of complaints.

Why take the risk? There are much safer places to source your products where you can be confident that you are dealing with genuine manufacturers. You don't have to go to all the trouble that dollarswealth suggests you should do.

Payment through Moneygram or Western Union is just the same as sending cash! Don't do it unless you have been dealing successfully with the supplier for a long time and know that you can trust them.

The idea that the B2B portals such as Alibaba and Aliexpress charge a commission or transaction fee to the sellers is a myth. They don't.

I don't tell people publicly online where the safe places are to look, for very good reasons. Some of those reasons are outlined in my thread: If your secret B2B portals are so safe why don't you share? where you will also find a lot of helpful information free.

Yesterday I received this message from a Chinese person who bought my book: "Yes it is a great resource. Although I have some experience in China, I must say that it helps confirm my suspicion on the 'tactics' employed by suppliers here."

He has visited China a number of times and as the "here" shows, he was writing from China.

Intending importers need to know a lot more than how to find the names of some genuine manufacturers.

Don't even think about selling well known branded items. In almost every case they will be counterfeit. ILLEGAL

      If they are genuine. ILLEGAL

Regarding jewelery, now that you have my book you will discover how to buy small quantities of jewelry (not branded stuff), and that can be extremely profitable if you know how to sell it. Don't buy until you are sure you can sell.

I recommend for small quantities you consider sourcing from Taiwan, or Hong Kong, where smaller manufacturers can be found, not in mainland China.

PS. I don't suggest making business of Replicas, I am not saying Consiousness, I mean the risk you are taking is not parallel to what you earn. You need to worry if it gets caught at the Customs, You need to worry the Brand Owener Sue you, You need to worry the quality and loyaty of your supplier, if you worry so much, you can not really do a good marketing and selling. Especially when you grow to bigger.

I have taught hundreds of people how to import direct from manufacturers in China, and the most successful ones don't look for hot selling products.

Instead they use their own initiative and find products that will sell, but that are not already being sold by hundreds of others.

I am a newbie and about a month ago I bought Importexport's book. What he says is true.

Using the great lessons in his book I found a product that is not listed on eBay by any body else, and I ordered a small quantity. I have now almost sold out at a very big profit and will be placing another order with the manufacturer this week.

I had tried Alibaba and DHgate but he said not to, so I followed his advice and found the actual manufacturer who was happy to supply my small order.

There is not such a thing called Best to Import or Hottest Sell.
It depends on your MARKET, CAPITAL, VISION, SUPPLIER, PRODUCT QUALITY AND SERVICE.

I think it's important to find a balance between supply and demand. Demand from customers and supply from other sellers, with that said it's important to make sure a product that you're interested in introducing actually has a demand from an audience to buy. If not, your intuition to buy will end up losing you money if you haven't conducted your research.
