anyone using moltin shopping cart?

I am setting up a gift shop type store with thousands of products and a dropshipper I have been looking for a cart for over a month. I started setting up my site then figured it would be better to get a cart in place before I add any more product pages so I can add the code as I go along rather than change a gazillion pages later.

I have read through a lot of post here and seen a lot of different carts recommended.
I uploaded opencart but can't figure out how to link my existing pages to it and I can't find enough documentation of how to set it up after the initial installation besides how to add a category and page. Not even anything about where to put the product number that goes in the link.
I looked at magento and it looks even more complicated than opencart.
Jada cart looks not too bad but their demo page doesn't work right so I am leery of using it.

Sooo, I am thinking of going with a cloud type site like moltin cart which seems to offer a more reasonable pricing than shopify.

Any ideas on this?

I have read your question very carefully. You said that magneto is more complicated than open kart and I agree with you on this point. Why don't you try some other services like zedo, shopify, nationkart. These e-commerce platforms provide you more sophisticated way for making money through your website.

      thank you

      I'll look into those.

      ok I looked

zedo seems to be an advertising site with some bad reviews
and nationkart, like shopify, is too pricey for me right now.

      But thank you for replying.

I would like to use opencart because I see it recommended here a lot but I don't know if I can
do what I want to with it.
I want to go from my products page to product detail page to cart using the pages I already have set up.
If I have to make new product detail pages that's ok but I want to use my own pages that list the products
      in each category.
Maybe I'm just not asking the right questions to get it working?

So you already have a site set up with your products and categories and just want to add a cart to it?

Mals-e.com will generate buy buttons you can put on your existing pages and use their cart to check out from. It's free.

Paypal also can generate buy buttons, but it's a bit more complicated.

          THANK YOU

I had a look at mals-e and it sounds like just what I am looking for.

I had resigned myself to re-building with opencart but sooooo many problems getting it to look like I want.

again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKYOU!!!!!
