For small business, you can try shared hosting on HostGator for unlimited space or bandwith. But nowdays, HG has not very good support, also although unlimited space or bandwith, they limiting your memory. So, it's easy your site to slow.

My best advice is Arvixe. Although no unlimited space/badnwith (because you no need unlimited space/bandwith), but not limited your memory. From my experience with 20K visitors monthly, shared hosting on Arvixe still okay.

Good and experienced hosting companies are a2hosting.com and ifastnet.com.
Plans are full-featured and prices are competitive and uptime is high.

Since Arvixe has been bought by EIG, they suck and I would avoid them (an all the companies owned by EIG - see list http://researchasahobby.com/full-lis...panies-brands/).

I highly recommend Evolve - see link in my signature. It's where I host all my sites.

Hostgator sucks nowaways since being bought over.. you will have a lot of down times. I just moved one of my site after 4 years with them, so you will see how bad the situation is now. Take a look at siteground, not the cheapest, but so far it's been quite reliable, at least better than Hostgator.

Yes, things have been on the decline for a while now with them. Siteground is a good choice.

        Forget ALL prior recommendations!

As a successful Digital Marketing Agency owner, I can personally vouch for the exemplary hosting and customer service at HostNine.com

You can easily use their hosting for hosting a plethora of sites without any visible footprints which may expose your PBN.

        Much Success to you,

Thanks for the recommend Divo. I see the with Hostnine you can have a unique free IP address on their reseller plan for multiple sites. I have been with Hostgator, but hundreds of other sites, some might be regarded as spammy or have been penalised by Google, share the same IP.

This is not a downer on Hostgator - it may be a common IP problem for shared hosting. I noticed with my Hostgator account all emails delivered via Hostgator go straight into my GMail spam folder. In the spam folder, it says something like "we have identified this IP source as potential spam", or something to that effect.

I found this post because I was searching for Hostnine as I was told by a reliable source it provides free unique IP addresses on reseller plans. I am signing up for the reseller plan today, it appears to reasonably priced, we shall see how it goes.

          regards

          Jim

Yes, I agree. I have been with HG for 5 years and then since 2014 something, they have problems - slow support, sites getting hacked and more. I switched to Namecheap since then and have no problem so far.

GoDaddy screwed me as well on not allowing me to transfer my domain name to another service. Would not allow me to transfer my domain to another provider. They say you can only do it via email which they never ever respond to. Customer services of zero help and only are concerned if you're willing to start new accounts so they can charge you more money.

One thing about A2 Hosting is that they don't allow 3rd party SMTP services like Amazon SES or Mandrill.

So if you have a self-hosted autoresponder that uses a SMTP service, A2 Hosting won't work for you unless you get a VPS.

Don't go for extremely free web hosting services, they will not give any guarantee to your data and limits to access the space.
Inquire more about the hosts and get reviews of that particular host before step in to the process.

Ugh, I'd stay away from QHoster.

They said I had a script that was causing problems on the server. So they disabled the entire account. Every website I had with them was down.

On top of that, they didn't notify me. If I knew they disabled my account, at least I could've taken immediate action. But no, apparently their support thought I wouldn't want to be notified about something as trivial as this.

And you can't get anyone on the phone. Support is email only.

Did I mention their support staff dismissed my concerns and just gave snarky comments?

I'd definitely would stay away from QHoster.

If you are looking for a reliable hosting, invest in EZPZ Hosting, you can check on webhostingtalk.com (only great review about them) or other similar websites, they have great support ( ticket, online chat ).

I never had problems with them, they are fast and the CEO "Daniel" also get involved for serious maters.

I'm not an affiliate or work in their company, but I have been using them since 4 years, got a vps managed hosting there with more than 300 websites running, some personal projects and customers one.

Service is perfect and uptime, nothing to say about it.

Last of all I have own Cloud server with license cPanel/WHM for my all websites from IPTrafficX.com and I'm very happy now

It's always better own VPS/Cloud server with license cPanel/WHM for eCommerce website.

I have a bit of a bias but it depends on what you're objectives are.

If you're a small business just trying to get your phone number / name out there - go with a reputable shared hosting company.

If you're an online business trying to grow and gain a lot of exposure, you want to look for a good cloud web hosting company that allows you to scale as you grow. That way you don't burn all your startup budget on an expensive server, but are able to grow as traffic calls for it.

A lot of the "big name" web hosts out there are all owned by giant corporations nowadays. Just make sure to use Google and do your research before picking one!

I have been using ipage as my hosting company and they have good services that you will enjoy. The online commerce shop always need to have unlimited space and bandwidth, something that Ipage do provide once you have made the purchase of the account. They also support platforms such as wordpress thus it will be very easier to have you launch the ecommerce site within a few hours. You just need to be careful that the hosting company you are choosing does not limit you at all

I have been using HostGator hosting for quite some time and I am very happy with the service it provides because it is very stable and the pricing is quite reasonable. Besides, it also offers a lot of discount. You can get a good discount from HostGator by using discount coupon code: REBATEOFFER

Hostgator is great as long as you have 10 or less websites (we've got quite a few more). They do provide dedicated servers, but you are responsible for maintaining them yourself unless you want to pay extra for the support.

Bigscoots provides dedicated servers and the support is included in the cost. They are a bit more than Hostgator, but they price match. I would recommend one of the two.

GoDaddy is convenient, and the friendly 24/7 support (with call center noise in the background) is appreciated. I've had problems at times (SSH not working suddenly, memory usage spikes from SSH'ing into my account - 480 MB each time I SSH), but with a coupon code it is a good value. Shared hosting is not for eCommerce, however.

I will just advise you to stay away from FatCow! I signed up for a year and I am using their services in the past 2-3 months, it's been a disaster. Slow loading times, too much downtime (it happens every week) All of my websites were down for one hour yesterday and their support just said, we are aware that we have some issues and the websites will be online soon, don't worry! I just want a refund from them and transfer to a decent hosting company.
Read the reviews carefully before signing up.

I would suggest Hostgator India or GoDaddy

Let me explain. I bought Reseller Hosting in HGIndia in 2013. And I am still hosting my website with them. I have even reviewed Hostgator India in my blog VDestine

    Here are the simple reasons

    1. Support - They are the best in the market. Your website is down, call them. Your blog suddenly redirects. Call them

They help with almost every problem

    2. Price - Not as cheap as other hosting providers. But yeah pretty good
    3. Indian Servers - I am sure that your blogs are directed towards Indian audience. You will need Indian servers to improve your site speed

    All the best

Well, first thing first.... do not go with any shared hosting services, and I know they are very cheap but believe me. If you are serious about your website go with cloud hosting at least I'm very happy with cloud hosting its fast and reliable to host your website man.... and if you ask me I would say digital ocean is very famous for their cloud hosting servers but managing the empty cloud server its headache, that is why I would say go with Managed cloud hosting providers and my favourite one is cloudways

    1. Don't go with EIG hosting (includes dozens of hosts)
    2. Choose US East or Europe location.
    3. Take care of SSL (since you will have commerce site)
    4. Check out reviews in the Internet thoroughly for the hosts you are recommended.
    5. Check out the performance and uptime of the hosts you have selected after your initial research. The performance sometimes is published by tech-research and monitoring companies or even is open by the hosting companies.

Hostgator and bluehost are pretty nice but their prices are a bit overwhelmed especially with their vat charges for european customers. But they are fast on support yes
