How big can one dream with dropshipping?

Hello all

I have recently purchased an airsoft gun dropshipping website. I first month was great, better than expected. But all of a sudden sales genuinely just stopped coming. What might I be doing wrong?

This got me thinking perhaps I am dreaming too big to build an eCommerce business? I have a dream of building a portfolio of eCommerce websites and I was just wondering if perhaps I may have been dreaming too big?

    You bought a pre existing site? and then after 1 month the sales stopped? have you looked to see what the traffic source "Was" in the month you were making sales?

    If the site "Was" making sales and now its not.. you have a traffic issue..as in the previous owner has pulled the traffic plug. you need to start creating your own traffic. Welcome to the world of e-commerce!

    So much you left out. Was the website already established or did you build it from scratch? Are you still promoting it? What are/have you done to get traffic?

      Sorry to tell you this, but it is common for businesses to have great sales before they are sold and then drop dramatically after the sale.

      What often happens is that fake sales and fake invoices are issued, artificially loading the sales figures.

      I hope this scam has not caught you. If it has, you should contact the police to investigate a case of suspected fraud.

        Well it had okay sales before I bought it, then I was doing okay because sales were coming in at a conservative rate. However now they just stopped. I am not sure how to go about dealing with this.

      It was already established and I bought it. I am still promoting it through instagram and have been trying facebook paid ads and have recently started blog posting.

        You can make a small vine video or keep on trying your luck on Facebook ads But the point is you have bought the website and it's already live. So you are running in losses. What I would suggest is do not go in the long way of trying and testing method. What you need is a sponsored post.
        Instagram sounds more like helpful for you now since it accepted videos and pictures.

    Hey run facebook ads really refine your outreach to specific airsoft communities/groups and only have it promote to people in those groups. Another simple but effective way is to post in classifieds for sale in surrounding cities and states for sale.You could also do product walk through on youtube. Deffinatly spend some time on your SEO here is a list of tops search terms for air soft on a couple platforms.(first listing is most searched going down in # of total searches hope this helps or saves you even a bit of time not having to research.
