    Have a look at ecommercefuel.com. I found the ebook you get for the newsletter subscription very helpful. There are the calculations you are looking for, besides a lot of other things.
    Answering your question from that book:
    You would have the potential to get 25% of the monthly search traffic if you get close to perfect in seo. 85% of traffic to your site would come from longtail keywords. That would mean (2000*0.25)/0.15 =~ 3300 Visitors/month. With a conversion rate of 1% you could expect around 30 - 35 sales per month. Beware that this calculation is meant to estimate the ceiling, not the beginning and only a rough ballpark figure.
    No own experience to support the numbers btw. There's a lot on niche selection in the ebook, like a small step by step guide. The autoresponder sequence I got was actually quite valuable and really not too salesy.
