*** Please leave your input if you ever marketed product-based webshop (preferably Shopify) using Facebook ads! ***

So I wanna create a Shopify webshop in the girly-accessory niche. My idea is to use a complete set of online marketing tools to drive traffic to the shop but relying heavily on Facebook ads. I have 4 years of experience in content marketing, managing Facebook pages and communities and running Facebook campaigns. I also do AdWords.

Please share your experiences - if any - with marketing products of your ecommerce site on Facebook! I'm interested in these things in particular:

Have you tried running ads featuring products and prices/discounts?
How did they perform?
- right hand side
- desktop news feed
- mobile news feed
How did they convert into sales? Percentage of FB traffic actually spending money?
Where in the funnel did you lose most prospects?
What percentage of your revenue did you spend on ads?
Did it work out for you?
etc.

And yes, I know that every niche and every campaign is different Still, reading some real-life experiences would be very helpful!

Thanks!

How about twitter ads? I just started using twitter ads for my Shopify site and it seems to be driving traffic to the advertised tweets, but not to my actual site. Plus the fees are very large due to what I have been getting.

The most difficult part of Facebook is Targeting the right audience. As it is based on interest level hence it become a little difficult to get things started when you are running ads on Facebook. In case of adwords the audience you are getting is highly targeted. The value of user coming from Google is higher as compared to that on Facebook.
