How would you promote an online smoke shop if you owned one?

Hi there everyone.

I own an online smoke shop (will not link here in WF) and I am struggling to get targeted traffic to it.

The problem with the smoking niche is that most shopping search engines ban the items from the feed almost immediately since they promote an illegal activity.

I know that SEO is great traffic, but can takes months to see any results at all.

I am struggling to find a solid way of driving targeted traffic to my online smoke shop and would love to hear some suggestions if you have any. Don't mind paid options of traffic either so let me hear it!

Thanks in advance.

I have just written several articles about how bad smoking is for people. I would certainly not be one for advertising it because it literally kills people.

But if you want to, keep going.

  • Have you tried Google AdWords and other PPC campaigns? You may also want to look into some grassroots stuff, like offering to guest post or blog for an established biz in your niche (who is not a direct competitor). I'm not too sure exactly what you sell or its legality in public settings, but I'm sure there are some events or vendor opportunities where you can pass out flyers, samples, etc. Getting your business off the ground takes a lot of work up front, and unfortunately its not as simple as having great SEO (don't we all wish it were that easy though!). Good luck, let us know what you try and whats working for you.
