Question about dropshipping website

So, I'm new at this (well, been sorta failing for 6 months...haha). Anyway, I have my website pretty much done (ish?) and am almost ready to contact manufacturers. My question is: While I have put up some products on the site so I have something to show I'm serious, is it okay if I put products from the manufacturers I'm contacting? Will they question as to why their products are already there and I'm trying to get them to dropship for me?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

    This is a good question...

Are their other product options you have that you can use a place holders for your store? -- like similar dropshipping programs?

I do think showing your serious is important when it comes to business with dropshipping. First impression is everything

Thanks for replying. I guess I could put all of one manufacturer's items, then not contact them until I have contacted the other ones? My only concern is that the manufacturers that I contact might get upset that it appears I'm already selling their product... or maybe it's a non-issue. I hope someone with experience in this can give me some insight. I have tried to contact suppliers without having a website and it seems very difficult to have them take me seriously. Now I've put the time in, but am nervous about ruining a relationship from the beginning...
