    Hi there,
perhaps I'm not the most qualified to answer you but since no-one did it yet I can share what I get to know so far :-); I'm in the same situation as you although I'm doing it from Thailand.
Setting up an Amazon FBA merchant account allows you to basically be located anywhere in the world, and still market the US territory with your product.
Be aware that for first-time merchants there are certain restrictions regarding what you can sell or not, although you may be able to sell the very same stuff in the future: I think they call them "gated categories" and they require pre-approval from Amazon. Check it out in here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...odeId=14113001
Regarding you wanting answer, perhaps you should begin with.. lying down some question!;-) What exactly you need to know that a basic Google-search can't provide you with an answer?
Another thing you must check out is whether or not Amazon.com can register you as an FBA merchant with your Indian bank account: they support many countries so far but some are not included yet in their list, but even so there are solutions: you can find some Company that will set up a payment system (the likes of Paypal) for you so you may still get your Amazon paychecks! A popular one is called Payoneer -I think- and it's specialized in e-commerce payment-solution for people all over the globe: I don't exactly know how it works since I never use it (my bank account is from Europe and it is supported by Amazon)
One last thing: maximize the Warrior Forum using the Search mode on the top-right of the page: it's a pool of useful information

    Best Luck

    Cheers

You shouldn't have any problem with setting up with selling in the USA using amazon FBA, if you are located in India.

I've helped a number of people in different companies set up ecommerce and sell on amazon including, from India. The only issue you may have is in setting up bank accounts and transferring funds back and forth. But this is also a problem that has been overcome in the past.

    Good luck with your venture.
