Has anyone made money with a travel site?

I keep seeing all these places where one can buy a travel website and "make $1,000's each month!" I know some of the affiliates pay about $1 a click which means you'd have to get at least 1,000 clicks each month to make $1,000. My question is has anyone made a significant amount of money with a travel booking website? If so what website did you buy it from?

    Yes, it is possible. However, you will need to have a very strong ranking in search engines. Only then you can get a heavy amount of traffic on the website and maybe 20% of them will click on the ads and you can earn the revenues.
