you have two option, one is word press CMS. This CMS is really simple and very customize and user friendly. The other option is use Shopify. So its up to you which option you will use.

I would better recommend to use hosted ecommerce platforms. From my experience they allow you to create your store much quicker.

Hi OP,

The answer depends a lot on the traffic and the intended use for the Store. For simple shops, I think WordPress and its plugins would suffice.
Whichever platform you choose out of WordPress and Magento, you are sure to get the benefits of open source platform that is available for free But for anything serious, you must go with Magento. I have developed and run Online Stores using both and here are the things that I'd like you to know.

Most of the present people prefer Magento for ecommerce based web pages and articles. This shows that search engine gives importance to Magento platform for ecommerce based articles and applications.

If you love to make an extension for your website or to submit just a blog article about your product or service, then WordPress is the best platform to use. Search engines give importance to WordPress blogs when searching for general information on products and services.

I use WooCommerce. It allows me to launch numerous ecommerce stores without those recurring monthly platform fees, is easy to set up and get up and running, especially if you're already familiar with Wordpress.
