    Hi Bob,

Search this forum and you will find many posts on this, I have my say on the 5k price tag but will leave that for another day.

ASM will show you the basics and get you started for sure. Yes you can make a LOT of money with Amazon, but don't think this is a get rich quick product, you can get rich fast but you need to work at it.

    Yes, I am.

More than 4 figures net profit a month. Much more.

So are some of the new ASMers that i've coached through the materials in past. In a couple of week's time, when ASM6 closes, I shall be starting to coach more newcomers to the program.

As David has pointed out, it takes work. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's a grow-a-real-business-through-time-and-effort program.

    Good luck with your ventures.

I could go on, but please do your research - ESPECIALLY if you are new to selling on Amazon.
As with all serious businesses there are several stages and once you get past the start-up phase and survive for a length of time the prospect of profitability is much higher.

A few months ago I met with a "very successful" Azon seller who had succeeded in multiple niches but had greatest success in supplements.

When quizzed he pointed out that he got into his chosen niches at the right time and some of his products bombed but he backed the winners and went on to carve out a nice business.

He suggested to me that it was far harder to crack the areas where he was successful.

Quick easy money in anything is not a realistic view to take.

In most businesses it takes a good understanding of the market and some good timing...plus some investment...or access to capital...particularly if you have something that is a winner and you don't have access to sufficient funds to capitalise on the opportunity...you will feel the pain .

        Hi,

I came to his web site via an internet search on ASM which I signed up for just a few days ago. As a result of doing more reading, largely thru this site, I requested a refund.

        My reasons:

        One
My budget is tight and some said the main approach is one that requires purchase of inventory (read: more and perhaps large investment on top of the 6k price if paying in 4 monthly installments).

        Two
I despise deception and omission is a form of deception. The program shows all these incredible successes, but where are ALL the results? I know it is subjective, but I would like to see something like a frequency diagram of profit (now, this is subjective, but let's take the 8th week of the product's launch) for virtually every product attempted by every person who has signed up for ASM. We do not see the failures. We do not have a clue as to the % of failures. Or of average amount of funds invested per product.

        Three
The idea of lower cost alternatives, realizing and appreciating whether or not an alternative is as good is speculative.

Here's another thing. What is the REAL motivation of mentors? I mean...with what their commission is? Are they motivated to get folks to remain beyond the 30 days? That high a commission? Man, I don't know.

Anyway, that's my story and I am sitting here unemployed and wondering how the hell I am going to make a living.

Thanks @Tony for presenting a reasoned view point.

          Regarding your points:
One. For an investment in inventory way less than the commission inflated $6,000 price of ASM I have had many students start successful importing businesses.

Two. Most success stories only talk about sales figures, not profit. And yes, if you only see the success stories, that seems like deception to me too. I am not saying the claims are false, but there is never any verifiable proof given. For any claims I publish I invite FTC inspection of originals. Maybe people should demand proof of ASM claims.

Three. Yes there are much lower cost alternatives and they come withhundreds of testimonials. I am convinced that the real motivation for the massive promotional activity behind ASM is the huge affiliate commissions. Elsewhere on the forum it is reported that commission is 50%. $3,000 earned per sale!

I hope you do find something that will enable you to make a living.

          Hey Tony,

it sounds like you abandoned your quest before your journey even started!

If you were attracted by the idea of "selling stuff" through Amazon you should pursue that and not leave the path until you either SUCCEED or FAIL at it. But PLEASE don't just throw all hopes and sit down in desperation only because some people out there is willing to teach you only if you're ready to be paying 6K... Surely enough that is some BIG money that you should keep into your pocket and maybe use part of it to buy some product to resell online.

Paying 6k or $100 is never a guarantee of success, there is not such a thing, and you should wisely weigh those promises of riches trumpeted by ruthless marketers..

To get started you DO NOT need to spend any money on training, you can learn the basics from that vast pool of information called THE INTERNET. When you exhaust all the useful retrievable information but still feel in need for more "training" you can easily find "humanly priced" courses out there.

As per the "motivation of mentors" it spells out alone: Commission-Commission-Commission:/

one last thing: don't be part of the 99% of people who think and thank and never act: be the Brave 1% and make your life count by taking ACTION!

          Good Luck

I'm part of a community of thousands of Amazon sellers - many of whom (myself included) have been selling physical products online since 2002 or earlier - and as a group we realize that:

    1) Private Label is only ONE of MANY ways to make a great income on Amazon, and it's by far NOT the most attractive or easiest to get into for several reasons
    2) The legal exposure alone is something you really need to take into consideration
    3) There are ways to protect yourself from competition besides starting your own brand
    4) The risks of Amazon account shut down are overlooked by nearly all "amazon how to" course creators - we take on that issue head on and teach multiple streams of Amazon income from day one
    5) There are several approaches to private label on Amazon and so many great courses. Take your time and research.

I could go on, but please do your research - ESPECIALLY if you are new to selling on Amazon.

Tons of people are making 4 figure profits a month selling on Amazon. I know many people who are making well over that and didn't spend a penny on a training course since basically everything you need to know in free on podcasts and blogs.

Honestly, with Amazon you just need to jump in. By that I mean, go find something around the house that is still in the packing with a scanable bar code and just go through the process of selling it via FBA. You'll learn a ton just by doing that. I would highly recommend doing that before plunking down a bunch of cash on a course or on your own private label products.

Amazon is a great place to start, why does everyone hate it, you can combine it with other marketing if it works for you also it converts more and the 24 hour cookie can give a good boost.

You should try another training, after I paid 5000$ for asm I asked for a refund and changed to amazoworks, It's cheaper and the training offers the same content as ASM.

        It isn't.

It's not even close. You have no way of telling so i'm confused as to why you would state that.

You refunded and therefore only got to see the first few modules, all of which are aimed at setting up properly. You didn't get access to the main body of work, the 70% where all the marketing strategy and more is taught.

The value of ASM is in the marketing and commercial strategy approach not on setting up.

        Good luck with your venture.
