Hello everyone,

I am selecting a niche for a new dropshipping e-commerce.

I have three options. Aquariums, Home brew and Outdoor power equipment (ridding mowest, lawn mowest, chainsaw, leaf blowers, etc.).

Which one do you recommend me?

I prefer outdoor power equipment but winter is coming, so instead I should select home brew or aquariums.

Best,

    Best,

Go for home brew (agree that winter is coming so outdoor power
equipment would not be a good choice).

Aquariums is a crazy niche, not good for drop shipping at all.

Hey Farnext, thanks for your response. I think that I am going to Home brew or investigate new niches to attack.

For example, I can approach the winter with winter outdoor power tools and use the database of customers that I build to create another store in march for outdoor power tools (using remarketing for ex.)

      This sound a good idea?

You have to be careful with outdoor power equipment. The issue is to research the market enough to see if there is a lot of brand loyalty and if buyers spend a lot of time researching which brand to buy. The thing is, I'm not sure if you can get Husqvarna or JohnDeere to drop ship for you since they are pretty big companies. But they might do it! Who knows!

Also, consider that with such heavy equipment there may be a lot of shipping charges that can quickly eat into your margins. For example the supplier says my MAP price for a landmower is $1,000, I sell it to you at a dealer price of $850 (you are going like $$$), but then it turns out they charge $100 to ship the item, and all of a sudden after you add your marketing and advertising costs you are not making that much at all!

You are right Staggerlee, thanks for your response.

Maybe I should start with some easy niches like Home Brew (I saw at the Keyword Planner that at December the search of Home Brew increase, so is a good moment too).

      Thanks for your reply
