Buy a new, more brandable domain.
Just in case your auto blog gets de-indexed, your website will remain active.

Thank you..how likely are autoblogs to be deindexed?

That ratio is 70 to 100.

70 blogs out of 100 blogs either get de-indexed by Google or their traffic drastically
drops over time. We are talking here about organic traffic (that comes only with
the on-page SEO, not with backlinks etc.)

Further, if blogs with unique content are pulling 100% organic traffic,
autoblogs will pull 60% traffic. Again, the traffic to autoblogs will
        drop with time.

Personally, EMD works wonder. I have a lot of exact match domains on the first page of google but for this purpose, I will advise you to get a brandable domain for your drop ship business. I think, that is the best way to go about it. Good luck!

Thank you for this!..so what if i kept the auto blogger on for a week then shut it off completely and focused on the store and writing handmade posts? would my site get de indexed then?

Not a good idea. Yes, any pages not available to the search engine will be dropped (or de-indexed). You'll lose that traffic.

One way could be to have a mix of curated posts and unique content without shutting off your autoblog. If you've not launched the autoblog yet, fetch some posts in your autoblog with the "Draft" post status. Next, create some unique posts with the "Draft" status. Publish a mix of curated posts and unique posts on
      random days.
Don't go fast. Just publish posts normally. 4-5 posts a week?
Focus more on spreading the links of your articles (i.e. getting social network signals/hits on individual blog posts. e.g each blog post should have sufficient number of shares or likes from different social websites Facebook, Twitter, Stumbleupon etc.etc. ). People should be seen leaving comments on your blog articles.
