Hello all, this is the deal

i am starting a new site, selling police equipment and uniforms. I have a graphic design/screen printing business that I also have and plan on integrating the two in this way.

As I am in the industry, and have used my networking to get print jobs, I plan on using my online store as a bargaining chip with the deal being this. If I can have your design and printwork that I will give at a competitive price, I will give you a discount code that will save your members different percentages depending on the size and type of job we print for a predetermined amount of time. Then it expires. In my industry, I believe it will sell because unions and organizations can give their members real savings while still getting their print work for a good price.

For me the print work is key because police do it many many times a year, and there are so many organizations within departments that the amount of work is crazy and profitable. So if they buy gear from me, I still catch a piece of it, even though its less that normal, I think it would be hard to get that business anyway. Please send me feedback if you think this is a good idea.

On to my next question

I had planned on signing on with a company who would give me a fully automated site with inventory of 7 of the top manufacturers in the industry right now, they have other plans that allow me to use more manufacturers, but I don't want to go nuts at first, it would probably be overload.

What suggestions do you have for me to better my game prior to beginning this venture. I signed up for a bunch of UDEMY courses about marketing. I was going to do some facebook ads....I am not internet ad saavy, but want to learn. I do have some built in marketing opportunities that give me an audience of over 20k people on FB and a few others in the thousands. But please, lend me any recommendation you may have.

Thanks

    Thanks

You already have what it takes to succeed.

I agree that you should scale it carefully, without going nuts. Too much load at this time would create mess.
