I like PAC by Jim Cochrum, Silent sales machine. He has a new promotion that i just bought and love. Jim's partner found gaps in Amazon that he has used to get $11,000,000 in a short time. He uses data not guesswork. You will be blown away by this. Well worth the money.

    Simply, google.

Search for suppliers of products that you're interested in and apply(on their website) to become a Dealer or Reseller. Even with Reseller rates, "wholesale" isn't that significant a discount until you start buying by the pallet. So don't go in thinking that you're going to get amazing wholesale prices because you will not -unless you're placing bulk orders.

Thanks for the advice guys, would you guys source closeout items? I mean is it worth it, since it would seem they would be closing out unpopular items.

      Hi,

I own an amazon reseller company and I may be very interested in purchasing a lot of product from you. What is the average markup on the products you offer?

Don't buy wholesale! Not enough margin.

Buy direct from manufacturers. Local ones usually won't want to know you, but when you go to overseas manufacturers they will welcome you with open arms. If you can pay, they will sell.

The profit margins will blow you away. I have seen reports on this forum from small importers making 300%, 500%, and even more.

Just be sure to avoid the traders masquerading as manufacturers. That includes the big majority of suppliers on the big B2B sites who falsely claim to be manufacturers.

It really depends and there have lots of options.

Firstly you can source products from China, can use Alibaba to source, but you should make your business carefully. Before purchase check if the seller has good record.

Secondly, you can source products from USA or near by yours. For that you will need to do research on the local whole sellers or suppliers. Sometimes the whole seller from USA also offering good prices.

    Hope this helps!

Using Alibaba for sourcing is so often recommended on the forum, but it is a risky option. Many people do it successfully, but many get burnt.

See some posts on these threads: http://www.alibaba.com/ Only 22 posts. Well worth reading. A bit nervous about an Alibaba order Much more extensive but a good lesson to be learned. Top Tips to avoid Alibaba Scam. or this one: Alibaba Brief.

Be wary of googling for wholesalers. Often this will give you middlemen who are simply marking up the product. The best way to find wholesalers is to find products you want to sell. Then contact the manufacturer and ask them to recommend some wholesalers.

Wholesalers are middlemen ! They buy from the manufacturer and mark up the price. As I wrote in post #7 Don't buy wholesale! Not enough margin.

If you buy direct from the manufacturers you get to bank that added margin that the wholesalers would otherwise get. I am talking about buying from overseas manufacturers.
