Can You Have PayPal Account From Country Where You Do Not Live?

I am international and often experience payment inconvenience US online stores impose on potential customers outside of US like requiring US address associated payment methods even PayPal. It's not just that you must be either US dweller or have US company for bank account to get credit card with US billing address but online stores can now determined whether your PayPal account is local to you country or US.

In my case PayPal was once solution where merchants accepted it but today even USPS postal service does not accept non-US PayPal accounts. So what solution do you know is there except applying for virtual card service that eats your balance with fees or relying on someone living in US you hardly know?

I was thinking if PayPal allows personal account and business account then maybe I could apply for business account using US IP address and address of freight forwarder I use but isn't this shady solution? Not to mention avoiding using financial data that is already in personal account like bank account and credit cards.

    No, it's not possible.

    They could limit your account anytime; freezing all the money and ask you about your detailed verification details. They may ask you to send them original
    documentary proof, US citizen ID, a US phone number, a US bank account etc.etc.

    If you are doing a business, it could also create other problems. PayPal is know to report to all concerned/related entities once it finds out that a specific PayPal account has been used for shady purposes. Your business could be in trouble.

    Visit PayPal's home page and check their list of countries to know in which countries you can use PayPal. It is better that you go for some PayPal alternative payment gateway. Search it on Google.

    Get a US address and phone number and then use Payoneer.com
