Confusion About Ecommerce Sites As An Amazon Affiliate
If I'm looking to set up a website that lists Amazon products and sends the visitor to amazon (along with a blog that has guides, useful articles etc. that also contain affiliate links), why would I make it look as if the buying process is occurring on my site when users will just get redirected to Amazon during the checkout process? I've seen many sites do just this.
I know that when I search for a product I want to buy online for the cheapest price and click on an Ecommerce site I always look up reviews of the website, and if I can't find anything that puts my mind at ease 100% I just go to Amazon. This is before I even add the product to the cart.
Designing a website like above would just lose sales, surely?
Wouldn't it be better to make it explicitly clear that everything occurs on Amazon's side? For example, having a "Buy from Amazon" button that redirects to Amazon instead of an "Add to Cart" button. Or am I missing something here?
