I’m weighing the advantage of starting an e-commerce business selling niche products intended for a specific group of people. I’m also considering being a contractor for content marketing. I understand these are very different ventures. I’m trying to see which venture would better suit me.

I want to try and flesh out business plans for each option to see which route is best for me. Can anyone provide me with tips or pointers in regards to developing an e-commerce business plan?

Again I intend on selling niche products intended to be used by specific members of the population.

Thank you in advance for the advice.

you use facebook ads , access to the objects that you target selected by the following criteria: age , preferences , gender , geography , profession
google adwords combined use for customers to find you via the keywords related to your products and services .
you need any assistance , please pull off here .

  • You can start with both these services at the same time. Would advise you to first sell the niche products through social media and then maybe you can get started with the website. Pinterest and Instagram provides an access to sell the products so that there isn't any need to set-up a separate store.

You say you might do "an e-commerce business selling niche products". If you are referring to physical products you mat want to add FBA (fufillment by Amazon) to you business model.

Along with selling the items from your site you would have a portion of your inventory at an Amazon warehouse and it is listed for sale on their site. You have great customer exposure and trust, very low shipping costs and no customer service issues. Because of Amazon's huge buyer traffic I would expect that your sales from Amazon's site would dwarf those from your own site even if it does rather well.

Thanks for the great marketing base. I will be sure to look into those tactics when I get closer to that step of the process.

I didn't know those social media platforms allowed you to start stores. That could be incredibly helpful. It's definitely something I need to look into.

Fulfillment by Amazon could be a great idea. I will look into that and see if there are opportunities there. I am fairly certain Amazon offers most of the products that I would be offering.

If I do do an e-commerce website I would need to come up with a strategy that allows me to sell without competing directly with Amazon. I'm trying to think of what sort of differentiation tactics I could use to do this or what kind of value I can add to the customer experience to further distance myself from Amazon.
