Hi all!

Im a 32 years old designer, and I had my own garment printing company. I sold that last year, and have been doing webbdesign work to pay my rent. I do about 4-6 webbpages a month and are happy with that. I also have aloat spare time to focus on other things. I have been reading on this forum a long time, but my english writing is really bad, so I have not contributed much. I have learnd english by watching TV, so I speek good, but writing is not so good. I live in Sweden.

I read this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/ecommerc...rts-today.html
and I got blown away! I think I have read the thread 4-5 times now, and also on other forum. I have been selling trough aliexpress when I went to collage, so I have some experience from that kind of selling.

So now that I have spare time, I have decited to try it out. I love the ide and concept, no much money to invest, no stock, no headache...

I have started a webbshop via tictail, because I can´t wait for the release of yaros plugin. But as soon as he release it I will buy and scale upp my business. For now I have only 20 products. I have sold for about $1000 in Januari so far. It would be a higher amount but I had some problems with one seller, so he havent ship the goods to my customers, and I have to wait 10 days to get the money back from aliexpress.

I only sell to my country, so pepole pay to my bank account for the goods. So today I have created a excell sheet:

Kund (customer first and last name)
Pris (price i sell for)
Mitt pris (price i buy for)
Vinst (profit pris minus mitt pris)
Produkt (product)
Betalt (how the customer pay)

$1 is about 8 kr in Sweden.

And for every customer, I save a text document with the information about the customer, adress, phone nr, product, e-mail and all other information.

It takes some time to do this, so by tomorrow I will have the whole list, and then I can tell exactly how much I have sold and what my porfit is. I also have 8% cashback on my orders via aliexpress.

My goal, when yaros release the plugin will be to release 2-3 shop every month, and to sell them in the future. I see a really big market here, I love the concept, so I cant wait to get it on. I have also spend many houres research aliexpress sellers and finding niche, and have also order product from them to se the quality and shipping time. Right now, I have about 3 niche that im sure will make atleast $1000 every month in profit. I have start with one of them, and only add 20 product, and are seeing a good result. I will do my best to gather all information by tomorrow and write here with the result so far in Januari.

Please, if I have writen bad, and you can´t understand, let me know and I will google all the words and change them.

My goal with this journey is to get in contact with pepole that do the same business, get better at english and get help and input from you that read this.

    Hello,

What kind of products are you selling? What do you do with each order you get? Do you go to Aliexpress and enter the customers details manually?

Yes, I got via a aff link to order to get an extra 8%. And then I enter the customer details so my seller on aliexpress send it directly to my customer.

Ok, now im done with getting all my customers in order. I have made an excel file, where i write all information about the sale (you can se a picture of that in my first post), then for every customer I have a text file where the customer information is (adress, e-mail, phone nr ect). I also have prnt screen from the order on aliexpress, and prnt screen of the payments to my bank account.

I have used www.forex.se for valuta exchange, so it may vary $1-$2, but not much more that that.

        So far in Janauri:

        Turnover: $1 280,72
        Cost for product: $719,19
        My profit: 561,54

        32 customers so far.

I also have cashback from my order for $33.55, that adds on the profit. I didnt use this servive for the first half of orders, and one seller have cheated little also, and add shipping cost even tho it was free, so I didn´t get any bonus on that.

I have now got rid of the bad sellers and everything go good now.

I have also recived some sampleorders that I made and are really happy with the product, and shippingspeed. Can´t wait for yaros to start to sell his plugin!

Im hoping to close Januari at $1600 revenue. I have so much work that I have to do with my regular business, but I will push one more campain with a big FB group tomorrow and on Wednesday that I hope will help me get there.

I will scale up my business, and add many more webbshop and products. Right now I use tictail and have only 20 product because I have to do everything manually.

Dont have Google analytic, can´t do facebook paid marketing, can´t do SEO and so on. With his plug in I can have around 100-500 product per store and niche, and I have already 3 niche that are ready. I have also found good seller on aliexpress for that.

Why wouldnt this app do the job?
              https://apps.shopify.com/ali

Why cant you do Facebook paid marketing? Just insert analytics code in <body>

I´ts the same, but that one you have to pay every moths about $60 per shop, and also I dont like design of it. Since I like to work in WP, i prefer that.

Well I can do, of course, but yaros will release his app soon, so it feels like waiste of time. And there are no pixel on the webbshop I use now. I rather save my money and put my time on research new products. My shop is just a basic one right now, with only 20 product. I would like it to look more professional before I start to work with ads and SEO.

So I take it with tictail you can't add Google analytics or use facebook conversion tracking pixels or optimize for SEO?

If thats the case why don't you simply get hosting and just set all your dropshipping sites up on wordpress + woocommerce? Adding GA will help so you can track traffic and sell these sites in future. And you could probably get a lot of much added benefits with SEO and using fb conversion tracking helps ALOT!

I made my first sale on my site fivetwomerchadise.com a couple years ago using this.... too bad I didnt continue on with this but now I am revisiting the whole dropshipping concept to see what success I might have.

Yes, exactly. I can do SEO tho, but it feels like a waiste of time, if am anyway going to change to yaros plugin soon.

Thats the plan, but im waiting for yaros plugin for wordpress. I should be done within a month. Then I can easy ad products and track everything. It will also have built in themedesign, which I like. Will be a huge timesaver for me.

I just started this one webbshop to test the market and get experience of this businessplan. I saw that some webshop that dropship from aliexpress sell on flippa for 6-10 times the profit, and they are only 3-4 months old. They do about $150 - $300 every month, those that I was keeping an eye on. So that was my plan when I first start this. 1-2 webbshop every month would make good money, and to get it to $200 in profit per month would be easy I think.

But now that im getting great result and respond to this concept, I dont know, i might keep them since they make good money and there is little efford.

I wish you good luck and all the best on your journey! =)

I don't know about facebook pixel thingies, but Tictail does offer Google Analytics and SEO Apps and few other goodies.

Yes, you are right. I was waiting for Yaros plugin and I thougt it will be done faster, so I didn´t activate that, I just put product online and focus on other things like seling, marketing and so on.

But I will build a store in woocommerce and change to that i februari.

I been browsing themeforest and I will buy this theme: Tyrion | the minimalist [woocommerce theme] and start a webbshop. I decided to make a webbshop by my self, and not wait on Yaros to release his plugin, after chatting with some other members on this forum.

Have been geting many pm from members here that want to exchange expirience and also start a webbshop with dropshipping from aliexpress. And thats really fun!

I willl try to build my webbshop during this weekend, and add about 100 products. Then I can focus on SEO also, and paid facebook marketing.

Right now I only sell when I do a deal with facebookgroups, so if I do SEO and also paid marketing on facebook, I think I can easy dubble my sales.

And some bad news, one customer want to return one of the products I ask him to send it to me, and I will give him back the money, don´t think its worth to send it back to China.

Thats long time yeah. I do a sample order first, and if it takes over 15 days to deliver to me, I dont use that supplier. I say to my customers that the deliver is 10-20 days.

Just recived 2 more samples for 2 really good niche that I have found, even better that the one I am doing now. So im thrilled, will try to make 3 web shops during the weekend =)

Also, I will do the sum for Januari month tonight, I have had about 20 more orders since the last sum up.

I´m finally done! I takes really long time to do everything manually. So the next 2 days, my main fokus will be to develop a nice webshop.

Here are the stats for Januari month:

                              Turnover: $2 367,93
                              Cost of product: $1 287,96
                              My profit: $1 079,97

This is on totaly 58 orders, and about 50 uniqe customers. I would quess that I spend total 10 houre on this projekt. I can easy get that down to 5 houres, since many things are new to me, and had to learn by doing. Now I know many shortcuts.

I´m really happy with this resultat, and have 2 more niche that I will launche this month. I have order sample and it arrived fast and are good quality.

I will go out for a run now, and after that I will start with the webshop. I have also contacted a copyrighter that will do all the text for my webshop. I hope it will be done on monday, with 20 products, and then by the end of the next week add about 100 more.

I fotgot to add, I will recive $72 for the cashback also, on my orders.

Just found out from my supplier that Chinese new year is 2-16 Februari, so he said that he wont be working during that period.

But it´s ok, I get more time to build my webshop for my 3 niche, and can focus to get them 100% ready =)

    Hi Kenan,

I am also running one dropshipping store, apart from my other businesses, but not using Aliexpress as I think their shipping times are very bad, especially to the US.
As EloquentGentleman mentioned, all my stores are Wordpress based with Woocommerce and I have total control over everything, I would suggest you to do that first.
I have few questions, how are you doing the advertising and how are you attracting customers to your store?
How long does the shipping take to Sweden and do they offer tracking numbers?
Did you have any complaints from customers or returns?

Best Regards and good luck in your journey!

Yeah, I think I will do that. I get recommended from many pepole to not wait for the plugin, and also got PM with some other offers, so I might just build a shop in woocommerce this week.

My store is a ugly one, with only 20 products. So the way I attract customers is via facebookgroups (nog pages) and I deal directly with the groupadmins. I also give out coupon with discount that many pepole use. Every one is specific for that customer, fot you it would be ex "newpain01" So I dont have many visitors (at least I don´t think I do), but all the visitors that come to my site, come to buy.

It takes between 10-15 days, and no complains so far. Had about 6 customers that recived goods so far, and 4 of them send e-mail that they are very happy with the product, other 2 uppload pictures on facebook. Yes I provide tracking nr. The product I sell is 50% cheaper that in stores here in Sweden and Norway, so thats why I think customers can wait for the long shippment.

No, no complains yes, but I have made samples from the product and know its really good! But if someone is not happy, I just say that they can send it to me, and I return the money. Then I will sell it on craiglist or ebay and get back my money. But that have not happend so far.

Ty, good luck to you to =)

    Hi @Kenan83
I'm glad you started this topic.
I was also waiting for yaros plugin but I found this Ebay & Aliexpress WooCommerce Importer
It might be something similar to what yaros is working on. Maybe you know more about this plugin and why it could/couldn't be useful in aliexpress dropshipping?

I will try it out for sure, but right now I have download all the pictures for my product, and have bought this theme: Tyrion | the minimalist [woocommerce theme]

I will hire a SEO writer to write the text, and then im ready for launch.

But on my next I will try it out, that may be next week. Will write about it here for sure.

What is your practice for launching? Do you develop the website locally and after everything is finished you migrate it to server? Or do you develop under the same domain as your working eshop?

I am asking because I have faced some google indexing issues. If development takes some time, the pages will be indexed with the wrong information in them. And for example when you change text in the page it takes long until page will be re-indexed again.

For me, its important that I have all the information ready when I do the webpage. So I have all the text, pictures and things like that. So I often develop under the domain, and put pages online as im done with them. Same for the product. What you can do, is to hide your pages, or put on index if you dont want google to index them.

There are also some good apps for WP for that, so the google and users only se the "launche in x days" page.

yes, this is correct. I have faced the same issue. It's better to develop locally I guess.

Hi Kenan, I'm also in the process of creating a dropshipping store with woothemes and WP. The problem I'm having right now is choosing a good niche.

    Thanks and good job!

        Hi Kenan,

Also, starting to dip into the drop shipping business. I'm curious, when you first started and leveraging facebook for marketing did you have your site setup or were you using sites like ebay and amazon to sell your products? Do you have experience using sites like doba? or strictly aliexpress?

          Hi.

I have my own website, never used ebay or amazon. I have no ide what doba is, and have never used it. I only use aliexpress.

Its easy, just set up a webshop, it wont take more than one day of work. The hard part is to market it and get customers.

If you are new, just make 1-2 webshop manually in woocommerce and start geting sels. If you are good enough, then you can start to lok at plugins. No need for that right now.

Thats the best tips I can give you. There is no plugin that will helt you to get your product sold, no mather what anyone says. Thats the hart part, so focus on that.

        Hi Kenan,

I am interested in starting a drop shipping company but self doubt is holding me back. I am not sure my niche is good enough.

Could you tell me how you know you have found a good niche?

Do you have competition for your products who are selling cheaper than you on eBay and Amazon?

        Thanks,

          Hi.

Just choose something you like/have knowleadge of. That will make it fun and easy. The hard part is not to find product/niche, the hard part is to market and sell it.

Haven´t check amazon, but yes, on ebay they are many of my product and at a cheaper price than mine.

          Good luck

It state in my webshop that its the buyers responsobility. But none of my customers have pay import tax yet, my supplier write that the product is a gift, and lower the value. And this month so far I have over 50 product sales, and none have reported any problems with the import tax.

No, but I find it better to put in the product by my self, then I can make some better design adjustment. And it takes like 1 houre to put in 20-25 products, so I dont have any need for an app that help me with that.

Okay that's what I will do then. I think import tax will definitely come up on a few of the products - some are around $700, nice profit but I imagine there will be problems, I will let you know if you like.

You're right about the importer I think. I tried Ali Importer with Shopify trial and found it to be very convenient but also needed many little touches to descriptions and images which may not save time in long run. It could be very handy for some niches I suppose but some of the suppliers I looked at have terrible English and watermarks on pictures etc.

What your suppliers are doing is illegal. If the goods have been purchased it is a criminal offense to declare to Customs that they are a gift.

It is also a criminal offense to understate the value. Because of the high value of his products, fujisan123 will be taking a very big risk if he goes down that road.

You and your suppliers might get away with it but one day a customer will be caught.

Whoever receives the goods is legally responsible for any declaration made and if detected can be prosecuted. If they are not prosecuted their details will be flagged and every shipment to them ever after will be delayed for thorough inspection.

If you want to deal with suppliers on Aliexpress, you should do some checking on them first.

See: Ripoff Report | aliexpressttp: Search of Complaints & Reviews Also check out http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.aliexpress.com where there are 1400 reviews and 948 of them give a score of 1 out of 5. So what you try to say is that alibaba is a scam site? I have read some of your post before, and understand you try to sell your e-book, and therefore talk bad about alibaba, so I wont bother reading your links, since I haven´t have any problems with them, or anyone I know. And those time I havent been hapy with products, I get my money back via alipay.

I state on my site all the rules, its up to customer if he want to buy or not. And also decleare. I see no difference if the customer would buy from a webshop in China and want the goods delivered to its adress in USA. If the customer want to decleare, then its up to him, I dont state on my site that I dont recomend that.

I am not saying that Alibaba is a scam site.I am saying that thousands of people have reported being scammed by suppliers on that site and on its retail site Aliexpress. You say that I "talk bad about Alibaba" and claim that is because I want to sell my book.

The reason I write the way I do about Alibaba is not because I want to sell my book, but because what I write is true and I deal only in facts. Here are some of those facts that might interest other readers who are willing to listen to facts:

                    • Alibaba admitted several years ago that 2236 Gold Suppliers had scammed buyers.
                    • Jack Ma promised to clean up their act. That promise was essential if he was to successfully list on the NYSE.
                    • Early last year China's Government Consumer Affairs Watchdog published a scathing report showing that Alibaba's act had not been cleaned up. See this thread China’s Consumer Protection Watchdog Reports On Alibaba
If you want to keep your head buried in the sand you should at least know some of what they said. Here is an extract from that post: "The report also said that Alibaba employees took bribes, and the e-commerce giant had not fixed flaws in customer feedback or internal credit-scoring systems. The government watchdog said “For a long time, Alibaba hasn’t paid enough attention to the illegal operations on its platforms, and hasn’t effectively addressed the issues.” The report went on to say “Alibaba not only faces the biggest credibility crisis since its establishment, it also casts a bad influence for other Internet operators trying to operate legally.”
                    • Many Warriors have been burnt by buying from suppliers on Alibaba. Here is a post (Post#18) on the thread How Trustworthy is Alibaba.com? by one of them: "Sourcing Products on Alibaba is like playing russian roulette with 6 bullets in the chamber." Also, in the thread Product Research/Find actual product maker in China or other? there is a post that reads: "I've gone through this process in the recent months, and I can tell you this much: Alibaba, Aliexpress and the such will take you down through a world of pain: unprofessional middlemen who only care for their commission, very poor and slow communication, low quality final products that dont resemble what was agreed, etc."
                    • There are many other places where you can find complaints by people who have been scammed by suppliers on Aliexpress and Alibaba. Have look at this one: AlibabaScam.com - Gold Supplier Scammers on Alibaba.com - Stop scammers right here! (Alibaba Bogus Manufacturer Directory - Fake Suppliers, Unknown Manufacturers, Crook Exporters & Importers) As of today there are 725 complaints published and the number grows every day.

Alibaba is pretty big ( https://www.repricerexpress.com/alib...s-amazon-ebay/ ) so offcourse there will be some popole that try to scam.

This is from they webpage, so this is text they themself have wrote:
                      Are all Gold Suppliers trustworthy?

Through the completion of the verification process, Alibaba.com can only check whether the business is registered in its local business administration region. This verification does not verify the integrity of the business, nor does it verify the authenticity or quality of goods listed by the seller, so it is still important for you to use your best judgment regarding the seller, the goods listed for sale, and any impending transaction. As Alibaba.com is not involved in transactions conducted between buyers and sellers, please choose the safest payment method.
Tips on how to avoid fraud on AliExpress

If the price is too good to be true, it almost ALWAYS IS! It's too easy to get scammed if price is your only criteria. Remind yourself when you make a decision, how can the seller offer such a low price? The answer inevitably leads to more questions than answers.

Be careful when buying name brand products.
Name brand products sold at far lower prices are mostly fakes. All name brand products (such as Apple, Nokia, etc.) are protected by their manufacturers, thus there is almost no chances of buying them at low prices.

If the seller asked me to pay directly to his/her bank account, what should I do?
If you receive a proposal from a seller asking you to complete transactions directly to them instead of via AliExpress.com, you should ignore their requests and report them to us as soon as possible. Should you accept the seller's proposal, you will not be entitled to our AliExpress Buyer Protection. This means if the items you receive are not what you expected or if they fail to arrive, AliExpress cannot help you get a replacement or a refund.

Do not confirm delivery before receiving the order.
Don't confirm delivery before you receive the goods. If you are requested to do so by the seller, please refrain and check your order carefully upon arrival.

Consider the seller's feedback information before deciding to buy from them.
A good seller enjoys good feedback reviews. We also recommend buying from Gold Suppliers because they have been A&V checked by Alibaba.com.
Oddcourse you wont find only good review online, but I bet you that I could find 100 more positive review than bad once.

They are scammers everywhere, just look at this forum. So many bad marketers that write e-books and WSO because they can´t make money online, so they try to scam pepole to make some money.

The fact is that aliexpress is a huge company and a great way to test product. If you have sucess with a product they its much better to find it and buy in bulk, since you can get price down at least 50%.

But for testing, there is not a better site out there (ebay is also ok, to use as dropshipping if you can find better price or shipping time).

Sorry, but I dont have time to find you revievs of hundrets of happy customers that buy from aliexpress, im to bussy with my webshop and marketing =)

I would certainly like to see those good reviews if they exist anywhere except on their own website, but as a matter of interest there are huge numbers of complaints on Alibaba's own forum, but good reviews there are rare.

But for testing, there is not a better site out there (ebay is also ok, to use as dropshipping if you can find better price or shipping time).

Sorry, but I dont have time to find you revievs of hundrets of happy customers that buy from aliexpress, im to bussy with my webshop and marketing =)
I know you won't change your approach because you have based your business on dropshipping from suppliers on Aliexpress, but I supply this information for the benefit of others who read this thread.

If you google amazon or ebay scam, I fond many of unhappy customers, doase that mean that those sites are scam?

You logic is not so good. Alibaba will try to sell they services to the vendors, they don´t do charity, if you think that.

It´s up to each one of the buyers to do research, read review, contat seller and so on, and they state that on the site. Alibaba is a huge company, offcoure they have misshappy customers, especilly when you think about the launguage barrier, its not easy to understand the Asian culture and business etich. But you can find all that on google, and learn in a few days.

I understand you dont want to admit it, but aliexpress is THE BEST WAY to test out a product, and se if it sell (offcourse if you can find the same product on ebay, then dropship from there, but its not so easy to find it cheaper. But sometimes it´s better, if the seller have them in stock, and can ship them faster).

But its up to you as the buyer not to be lazy, and do the research. I have a huge sucess with one product, and have now bought 2000 pcs (1000 to europe and 1000 to USA fullfilment warehouse), and I have got the price down from $14 to $3.

But for testing a product, Aliexpress is best.

I agree with you. I have ordered 100+ packages from AliExpress for myself. Believe me or not but I was never scammed. May be it is a piece of luck of course, but I prefer to rely on my own experience instead of making conclusions on other shoppers' opinions.
